Great job, I'm installing this same unit today, the installation instructions suck!!

Thanks for the explanation. I bought one to use overseas but they don't use copper pipes for their plumbing. Any idea how to connect the copper pieces from the digital valve to PCV pipes?
@TheDurbinCompound Жыл бұрын
I think there should be a conversion fitting that you can glue to PVC and it sharkbites onto the copper

I had mine installed like a year ago. Now the water is not getting hot so I called kohler and they sent me a thermostat to replace, I couldn’t find any videos how to replace the thermostats

Installing one of these and can't get the controller to turn on. Not sure if it's the controller or this unit. When plugged in are there any LED lights or anything indicating this is working for you?

Are the blue LEDs lighting up on the actual valve?

Can a shark bite be pressed on to the copper outlets rather then soldering a PEX fitting. And what is the meaning on page 5 of directions that has in parentheses (1" PEX). Route 3/4 (1" PEX) dedicated water supply lines. Use unions to install removable pipe segments to the valve inlets to allow access for periodic cleaning of the inlet screens.

You need to route 3/4” copper or 1” PEX to the valve. It has to have the volume flow to supply it. I never tried the sharkbite. I have seen guys pro-press onto those fittings though, so I’d assume you could sharkbite to it

@@TheDurbinCompound The copper outlet would need to be at least 1.125" long and .125 wall thickness for the SharkBite to work. However, the SharkBite may reduce the volume much like the fitting for PEX B. That said, PEX A fittings would not reduce volume from what I understand but the fitting would need to be soldered on to the outlets.

@brianhughes1456 right right. I can measure them for you if it helps?

Gotta ask, what do you have going on with the flex pipe and (I'm guessing) inline fan?
@TheDurbinCompound8 ай бұрын
That flex pipe is the bathroom exhaust. One coming from toilet room and one over shower. They “Y” in before the fan and exit through the inline fan to outside. The 6” inline fan is very strong and flows 400 CFM

Did you have trouble pairing the push button to the main panel? We've followed the steps with no success.
@TheDurbinCompound Жыл бұрын
I haven’t gotten that far. Let me go try it and I’ll let you know

@TheDurbinCompound mine looks paired but I get nothing and then sometimes it flashes purple after flashing the green pairing signal. 🤷♀️
@TheDurbinCompound Жыл бұрын
Ok mine paired fine and seems to be working correctly. Flashes blue when it’s sending the signal to the valve
@TheDurbinCompound Жыл бұрын
I assume you’ve taken out the battery and started over with the pairing process?
