First of all, I emailed a question on a Saturday evening-this fella responded in an hour. I ordered this kit on a Sunday-got tracking info in 3 hours. I received the kit in three days. Really great video. I ordered the upgrade kit and heat shields for my SV 725 Kohler and it fit perfectly. Glen really knows his engines! I called him up to discuss about the heat shields and he was super knowledgeable and friendly. I placed the order on Saturday and talked to him on the same. Installed the composite valve covers and the heat shield that comes with the upgrade kit mentioned in the video. Stopped the leak in its tracks and could not be happier! Also, adjusted valves on my KT735 7000 series Kohler engine per Glenn's other video on valve adjustment. Engine runs very smoothly, strong and could not run any better, even with 500 hours. Cannot thank Glenn enough for his generous sharing of critical information that is hard to come by otherwise. PS: Talked to Glenn when ordering my kit and another time with a miscellaneous question concerning my Kohler engine, what a true gentleman and a gentle soul!!!

I bought a used zero turn with KT725. Obviously, engine is in the back and valve covers are facing out. Prior owner had new upgraded valve covers but only did the one on the Left. He gave me the one on the right but it doesn't have the top hole for the breather hose. I don't think trying to drill a hole into the composite materia is the answer. Do you think part number Kohler 32-096-06-S will fit the right side? Will it have the breather tube hole at the top?

@louofm1 The two composite valve covers share the same part number. The hole measures 3/8-in diameter and goes on the #2 bank. Fasteners are to be tightened to 80 in/lbs of torque. If purchasing the kit (p/n 3275549S), the hole is drilled on one of the valve covers and installation instructions will ensure a clean install. I hope this helps. Kit can be had from SEPW for $18.00.

@@williamnewsome5169 thank you. I've noticed that alot of the replacement valve covers, with the 3/8" hole, have the hole on the opposite side. So, if I were to mount one of those, the vent hole would be on the bottom, so that doesn't work. If you look at the letters OHV, stamped on the cover, I would need the vent hoke on the right side (closest to the V)

Hi, enjoyed your video. I came upon a Kohler twin V OHV engine. I had to replace the coils with the upgraded versions. I now have spark to both plugs, but the number one side cylinder has smoke coming from it. I pulled the valve cover to check the valve clearance. Did you do both sides and I just missed it or just cylinder 1?? Still trying to figure out the routing of the throttle cable as well. This engine doesn't come up to full speed. This is why I decided to pull the covers to check clearance...I will check back for a reply as soon as you can...thanks in advance.
