Maybe you could take a trip to adam byer koi farm (appointment only) and spend some time picking his brains. Also do you heat the water or the room as you get far less condensation with indirect heat (heating the room)

I heat the room but cold nights still get alot of condensation I was hoping to insulate the walls more but ran out of time this year also when it comes to breeding koi it all seems very secretive not many will share there knowledge unfortunately

@@junction-27koicarp22 you could use polycarbonate or similar to retain the heat overnight (but that's probably more hassle than it's worth as it just adds to the workload, covering in the evening and uncovering in the morning) I have found the best way to learn most things is to get amongst it and see what gives. Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Maybe for the newer subscribers you could recap who you are and what your about as it promotes more interactions. Take care matey and enjoy the fry 👍🏼

Space is king as they say! Maybe you could try focusing specifically on the shiro and showa next year only? They're in 'in vogue' varities at the moment and you could have far more space? If you let me know how to get in touch with you about some fish then i'd be very interested in a couple of Shiro Utsuri's. Keep up the good work :)

I've been looking to find information on identifying Matsuba koi as they're by far my favourite pattern with kujaku and hariwake in second and third. Are you looking for the pinecone pattern on kujaku/matsuba at this stage? Found your channel today been through a lot of your fry videos and subscribed :)

Hi at this stage if I wanted kujaku I would cull for just the bright yellow heads in next video ill bowl you a few gin matsuba and explain more there is a few tobies so I can run through sizes thanks for watching

@@chrisnortcliffe3663 best advice would be always buy the best filter you can afford as the main problems with koi are water problems and parasites when you buy you fish try to stick with same dealer and always quarantine fish first before adding them to your pond
