Koi Fish Everywhere! Even Under Your Feet! Gujo Hachiman, Monet pond, & More in Gifu!

Traveling down Gifu we find more koi fish than people! We visit Gujo-Hachiman, a town known for it's summer festival, castle and waterways filled with giant koi. It's a town that was built intertwined with the river. Every aspect of this town was created with water in mind. We see Monet's pond, though it's not technically named that, it was just a little pond that happened to look like it splashed out of a Monet painting! We visit a Michi-no-eki just above Gujo-Hachiman that also has incorporated water into it's design with lots of Koi waiting to be fed. Lastly we see the castle light up a watery blue at night!

It's a beautiful spot! apparently we recently heard that it doesn't always look like the photos, it really depends on the condition of the day. For example the water could be musty and cannot see any koi! So maybe we were lucky!
