Cut the fern back down to 5cm James it will pop back up in spring. Also curious about the other way around moving a fish from non heated to a heated?

The plant you mentioned looks like a fern. It will most probably look like it is dying over the winter, but should fully grow back in the spring!

The fern will not like the breeze coming out of the air sources heat pump, you can see it moving in the video. This is drying out the leaves even if the soil is moist.
