Kokanee fishing Lake Roosevelt with Phil of FishHeads Outdoors and Matt of Takedown Tackle.

We hit the waters of Lake Roosevelt in search of jumbo Kokanee and Trout. This was Matt and his friend Josh’s first time on Rosie and like always when you are fishing with Captain Phil it didn’t disappoint. One of my flies managed to make it on a rod and it proved to be a killer. I think these boys are hooked and we were already talking about doing it again next year. I like to fish Lake Roosevelt with lite gear no dodgers and a kayak or other small craft that the fish can pull around, tons of fun. Good vid y'all keep it up!

Love that we aren’t the only one thinking the trout are kokanee so far away. The trout have been surface riding a lot this year

@boredguys23 no problem. The fish scatter and move a lot so we may slay in a spot one day and not the next. Sometimes we cover a lot of water to find them and sometimes we don’t. Good luck on your next trip out.

I'm 7 minutes in, hoping that you will eventually talk about some of your tactics, and tackle, especially since you have a tackle company fishing with you! So far, yeah, you're catching great fish, but sure aren't teaching us anything.

We used all Phil’s tackle except for some flies I tied. You can see the dodgers and gear we are running. I will do more in the future where we highlight methods and tackle.
