Had an absolutely shitty experience in November 2022. I am a makeup enthusiast and can afford to spend over a 5k in a single purchase. My mind was affixed on a single product which I wanted to buy at this store. But first, I decided to swatch some new launches at the other counters. The staff at these counters was kind and hospitable, but I had to decline the offer to buy these products. Then I went for the main product which I was after, the Kryolan Setting Powder. I have not used this particular brand before so I needed to test the swatches before buying any base product from them. A lady with porcelain skin and clumped black mascara was standing at the Kryolan / Proarte counter glaring at me up and down. As soon as I reached her counter asking for the Kryolan Setting Powder, she turns her head away and acts as if she didn’t hear me. Another lady was standing nearby so I asked if she could help me with this. She promptly obliges and she takes out a few shades out. She also informed me that there are no testers available. I told her that I can select a shade from looking at the transparent box. The psycho mascara lady interrupts loudly and yells ‘You are a no.9 shade and we don’t have it in stock’. So far I was being polite despite feeling ignored and humiliated due to her behaviour. But now I felt my resilience subside. I was startled at her rudeness but I continued talking with the other lady. Once again, I asked the other lady to lay out the available shade boxes for me to take my pick. The psycho mascara lady screams at the other lady, ‘Samjhta nahi hain kyan, stock nahi hain. Kitne baar bolu main. Andar rakh de sab.’ Rolled her eyes at me and looked away again. I didn’t catch her name or I wouldn’t have minded a name and shame at all.
