I hate that this album is so short. We need to get over this trend of 2min tracks. Otherwise, Jaehyun has such great taste in music and this project is so him. Really proud of him. "Can't get you" is the best song on the album.

I noticed a lot of idols who release solo music use more English lyrics than korean. More than likely it's to switch it up and target a different audience of mainly English speakers

I've come around to "Smoke" (because lk "Roses" was TOO MUCH, whew). But really, it's a smart choice that spans his tastes -- jazzy, sultry, r&b -- and the video (a Narcissus tale) was so gorge, retro, a bit weird. On brand. And your JT/2020 observation was on point. Cosign what most of y'all saying: "Can't Get You" is the one. I want the whole story on how that started with Babyface and ended up with Jamal. Demo vs. final production. And whomever decided to keep the female bgv's up in the mix needs a raise. Put an english version out of THAT. Can see that song in concert for his usual fans, but also a nice intro to new ones in a venue like the Blue Note, or Tiny Desk. This is nuts of me to say (and probably influenced by other events) but if someday he decided to go solo* and stay in a jazzy r&b lane I'd be all for it. *but stay in DoJaeJung lol

I think his album may be one of most listened to albums this year. But gotta give it up to SM. Every solo project one of their group members has done has been whatever they wanted to do. Like they get to show their individuality in their solo stuff.
