That was awesome! And the way that guy flipped that metal rod into its place was smooth as hell

Looks like Dante’s Hell. Super respect to the workers , I have worked in a Foundry before now. And thanks for producing glass which we all take for granted...

Furnace temps for glass are actually a few hundred degrees under steel melting temps. You had it worse temp wise in the foundries.

I've been a fan, of this glass, since the late '60s. When I finally got to Kokomo Indiana, in the 1980s, no one knew where the factory was! I poled downtown and a large park. Thought the plant would loom. like Wonka's chocolate factory.

Stained glass. This company was actually one of Louis tiffany glassworks main suppliers. They take great pride in continuous production of his sheet glass designs to this day.

This isn't the high output tin float glass you see in large companies. I suppose this glass can be scored to make custom windows with bubbles and inclusions. Still it's amazing to know how to maintain the equipment to get the output they do here. I worked automotive lamination lines for Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass out of Lathrop, CA for a number of years...this is cool. I see you have barrels of cullet which you can make different shades and color of glass here. Put me to work!
