Getting Canadian Visa from the UK is so simple unless u r nor legit here . I don't need to visit either American or Canadian Embassies to obtain their visa . U do it on line and get it immediately. If u r a British Citizen with a British Passport

Canada is a very advanced country operating on facts and convictions and not emotions they do not operate in the court of public opinion. If the wife is complicit in the current situation, trust me she wouldn’t be walking free at all. If they bring that man back it would be suicidal and it’s the wife and wife alone who can determine what happens to him for as long as they are not divorced.
