Ingredients:
Boneless chicken 500gm
Fresh Cream 2 tbsp
Melted Butter 4 tbsp
Turmeric (haldi) 1/2 tsp
Garlic (Lassan) paste 2 tsp
Salt (Namak) 1 tsp
Sliced Deseeded Bullet Green chillies (Hari mirch) 4 Tbsp
Ingredient for Onion Paste:
Chopped Onion (Piyaz) 1 Cup
Black Cardamom (Bari Elachi) 1 pc
Water For boiling 150ml or 1 Cup
Ingredients for Yogurt Paste:
Yogurt 125gm or half cup
Bullet Green chilli (Hari mirch) 3-4 tbsp or to taste
Cumin (Zeera) 1 Tbsp
Ingredients For Bechamel Sauce:
All Purpose flour (Maida) 1 Tsp
Melted Butter/Desi Ghee 2 Tbsp
Milk (dood) 150ml or 1 cup
Cheddar cheese 100gm
Nut Meg (Jaifal) one pinch
Onion (piyaz) one small pc
Salt (Namak)

Chicken paneer reshmi, in reality, was on Boat Basin Karachi. Kolachi restaurant was not even in existence, still, the paneer reshmi of boat basin is the best and I used to eat that about 20 years ago and it was in existence before that.

I have no idea alot I think it was blend of 2 daals but not so sure which ones plz try to provide the recipe if possible .

@@marvikhan1964 was it brown? or was it yellow. I never had their daal. If its brown then its the indian style of daal makni or daal bukhara. Its made with sabut masoor daal. pressure cooker mein banti hai. will share its recipe

It was yellow in colour and a very nice cream texture and the consistency was also bit grainy but soft and all the flavors were well blended and aromatic . Sorry never heard of daal bukhar so have no idea about it . We order it as daal makhni as was written in menu .

@@marvikhan1964 Yes the problem with daal makni is that there are 2 basic variants of daal makni. one is indian which is dark borwn in color bcoz its made with sabut masoor daal. whereas the second variant is pakistani and its yellow in color and we make it with daal chana. I'll see what I can do about this specific daal makni as the way you decsribed it, I believe they might be using a blend of daals to make it.

Cottage cheese or paneer will definitely compliment the overall flavor but store bought cottage cheese has a grainy texture. I would recommend curdling some cottage cheese at home and after the first wash just knead the cheese to create a grain free and smoother cheese and then use it. As far as mozzarella goes, I would strongly suggest not using it. It has a far lighter taste which wont be noticeable at all in this recipe. Stick with cheddar.

Ana Shamsi is dish ka taste aur texture dono bilkul kolachi ki paneer reshmi handi jaisa hai. Mein khud professional chef hoon tow mujhay thora buhat andaza hai restaurants mein konsi techniques aur ingredients istemaal hotay hain. Obviously unki recipe shayad isse different ho magar boiled onion paste ka istemaal woh loog zaroor kertay hongay

Thanks Moiz Khan, No we cant use mustard paste instead of turmeric. Mustard paste is primarily made up of mustard seeds and vinegar. Mustard seeds have a very pungent smell and taste and will not compliment the overall flavor of the dish. Secondly mustard paste have vinegar.....as we all know....vinegar and dairy products dont like to mingle.

jee. pakistan mein unfortunately paneer wese nahi khaya jata jaisay india mein khaya jata hai is liye yahan paneer word zara liberally use hota hai. hum cheddar cheese ko bhi paneer bol dete hai. The name of the dish is given not by me but by a very popular restaurant in karachi. In pakistan, the word paneer can be used in place of cheese. Its not the same as india which im sure of you are from.

Actually in Pakistan Paneer is not as readily used as in India, Cheddar cheese ki waja se isko Kolachi restaurant walay Paneer reshmi handi kehtay hain. If I had to name the dish I would have called it Cheese Chicken Handi, but naam mene nahi rakha hai. And You are always welcome to critic.

ritesh sinha brother - Iv noticed over time that desi people often use to word “paneer” to refer to any type of cheese. Whereas for you and me paneer means exactly that

Bilkul sahi farmaya apne ke kolachi ki paneer handi bilkul white hoti hai. Mein ne jo recipe bataye hai us me mein ne sirf ek ingredient extra add kiya hai aur woh hai haldi, jis ki waja se dish buhat light yellow color ki dekihti hai, magar haldi ki waja se dish ka flavor buhat zaida enhance ho jata hai. Cameray mein jitni yellow dish lag rahi hai real life mein utni yellow nahi hai. Cameray ka white balance set nahi tha tab. Try zaroor kerain recipe INSHA ALLAH wohi taste hai at fraction of the price you have to pay there.

piyaz aur haldi ka buhat acha jor hai is recipe mein. handi ko buhat matyala maza deti hai haldi. bilkil safaid handi diknay mein utni achi achi lagti jitni halki se peeli handi lagti hai. baqi aapki marzi hai.
