Often, I'd say we just say yes to things because of curiosity and to get an interesting story out of it, while the older gen doesn't want to "waste their time" So even if they aren't that into each other, or there isn't that big of a vibe, you can see they are hesitant to press the button because often we just get into a relationship despite not being 100% sure and just letting the problems build until someone else breaks it off or it becomes legit unbearable. And thats all because we are too conflict avoidant to say what we actually feel to someone's face and save them a lot of time and heartbreak.
