Who will do this? Hawkers & needy customers both are being benefitted by these temporary shops though roads are partially blocked. Moreover some individuals are being benefitted also.

এইরকম অবৈধ দখলদারদের উচ্ছেদ রাজ্যের সর্বত্র হওয়া দরকার তবেই প্রশাসনের উপর আস্থা জম্মাবে। নির্দিষ্ট কিছু জায়গায় হলে প্রকৃত সমস্যার সমাধান হবে না।

Hawkers ,specially in Newmarket , Gariahat,hatibagan etc are not poor. Rather they are richer than shop owner. All illegal hawker should be evicted. No alternative arrangements to be made.

Eviction in fronts of Grand-Oberoi Hotel foot paths, New Empire cinema hall (1969 Shamta Prasad, Chirodiner) front, around New Stuart Hogg Market, Sealdah Prachi hall-Loreto School front (Dui bon; in the '80's I remember buying texts from Sealdah footpath hawkers, like Krishna Chandra's Gopal Bhar & Tabla-r darpan),...must be evicted, and IF possible, some place for them to continue business for their family rozi-roti! Don't bulldoze / bargain here, Didi. There was Sealdah, now my Maa is dead, me an orphan.😢

It reflects desperate situation , failure to deliver, total failure of governance. She should be ashamed and resign. Failue of everything and just blame center is not good enough though center has a role to play. The huge cost of election is a heavy burdon on people and without acccountablity these election in India has a meaning that is licence to misgovern, corruption. Why public must carry the burdon of huge number of parasites ? We would rather be happy with different system like ancient Indian monarchy. So call democracy must go ,need an elected king like king Gopala of Pala dynasty .

TMC's encroachment into hawkers' shops and businesses isn't a good sign given the history of leftist politics in West Bengal. If such encroachments are unplanned, unorganised and arbitrary without taking into conginsance the rights of hawkers, their grievances will find expression in movements led by leftists in west bengal. If they are being removed without a proper plan being formulated for their rehabilitation or providing them with some alternate source of employment, they will development look for those parties who that are quite vocal regarding working class rights. This is indeed a legacy or a continuation of 34 year long era of marxist politics in Bengal and that's why only CPIM could replace TMC in near future. TMC should focus on providing these evicted persons with some other source of employment or attract more investment in private sector else a proletariat movement is awaiting Bengal. This change in status quo doesn't seem favourable or promising.😂
