If you have seen some areas of airport specially the end parts on either side mone hoi ki it has never been swept & mopped, taxi stand is so dirty, toilets in some areas are filthy .. all these small things needs to be taken care of in order to bring a change

Oyi sob American Airlines, KLM and many more originally used Kolkata airport as stop over for their long hauling flights. As flights modernised, need of stopover locations like Kolkata vanished! Traveller footfall wise, Kolkata was never a big International sector. But now, it is slowly becoming with lot of economical attention from US and Europe.........Let's hope for the best!

It’s a negative approach. Kolkata is adequately known for its jump in white coloured jobs, read executives from Computer Industries. Also foreign airlines have their own system and infrastructures to read the market demands for future business. What we need is support from Central and State Governments first to approach the Western and US Airlines to at least initiate their market studies. Negative approach that you have shown is deplorable and shameful. By selling only the views of Himalayan peaks, do you know how many foreign Airlines operate from a place like Kathmandu in Nepal , who do not boast of Industries other than Tourism ?

Before abusing Kolkata look at the history of the City which is very different from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai or Bengaluru. Kolkata had to cope with millions of people @ 1947 and it got no help from Delhi Govt. to upgrade it's infrastructure. As far as 1982, in the name of Asiad New Delhi infra was overhauled by spending millions of rupees. No other city in India has tolerated such huge abuse and neglect yet survived. Please read Ranajit Roy before making sweeping comments.

Who told you please correct your facts instead of listening anyone... west Bengal was financial and manufacturing hub because of cpim and labour union they ruined the economy and we all know what happened with the big business man's they were bitten in the middle of the streets when cpim understood there mistakes and tried to make do some industrialization than tmc came to the picture and today we know what happened to singur.. have you ever tried to see after Tata shifted to Gujarat how much employment it has generated today if you go Gujarat you won't believe how that plant has helped Gujarat to get more fdi.. the problem is with only the mind set from 2022 -24 2200 companies relocated outside west Bengal I am not saying anything in air it is there in economics times.. don't talk about only past current situation is too much horrible now it's time to open eyes..

It is not decided that direct europe flight will be resumed after a long gap however Bengal' s business atmosphere is too bad so resuming direct flight to europe or America is very much unlikely even no direct flight is here to Tokyo or Pyongyang or to Sydney,so trust is unavailable here in Bengal, no hope at all to Europe or any other cities from Kolkata

British Airways and Lufthansa stopped flying from Kolkata because no profit flying from Kolkata. Because they don''t get buisiness or first class passengers, usually provided by more industries lacking in our stste.. Because of this Kolkata will not be able to attract internation airlines going to Europe or USA.

What is Australian Airline , It’s Qantas. I think you must know how the Airline biz model work. If there is no business class seat sales there is no profit for Airlines. To sale biz class seat you need industry. WB dose not have it ; even in IT we are still backward state. I am frequent user of Kolkata airport to Singapore Airline. I always see Singapore airline biz class seat not full any days. Same applied to emirates and Qatar Airways. Mdm. Chandrima not even able to build a good bus stand in our Birati Area, if she talk abt Airport and etc we know what to expect. You as KZbinr trying to promoting WB, but I feel pity our state will never move next 20-25 year. We will lagging behind.

এটা কি জরুরী ইউরোপ আর আমেরিকা তে ফ্লাইট যেতে হবে। কিছুদিন পর তো সমস্ত ইউরোপ ভিখারী হয়ে যাবে।তখন কি করবে। এটা একটা বিশাল রোগ। আজ এশিয়াতে যা আছে তার 50% ইউরোপ আর আমেরিকা তে নাই। শুধু চায়নাতে যতো passengets মুভমেন্ট হয় প্রতিদিন তার অর্ধেক ইউরোপে হয়না।
