Helo my respected bengal bandhu pls follow the history. Simply Don't blame present govt. without knowing the fact. Yester year our family shifted from Bhopal to Kolkata in the year 1980 n stayed upto the year 1996 due to my father's transferable job. I followed very closely how first metro project became delayed almost 22 years thanx to courtesy of then rulling so- called jonodorodi Bamfront Govt. due to endless protest with created seveare labour unrest. Actual project started by Congress Govt in the year 1972 but completed only in the year 1994. !!! Then it's a world record !!! What a achivement ??? You people should feel proud for that. Shame.... Yes now a days we Hyderabadi / Bengaloreans are far ahead compared from your state because here we never mixup any projects with cheap n dhandabazi politics. it's purely my own feeling because last 27 years I am settled in south India ( Hyderabad/ partly Bengaluru). Please pardon if I am wrong. I never disrespect your Bengal or Bengalis but it's very true n harsh reality....

Still Kolkata metro is India's first ever metro ... Practically and truely we were well ahead of Bangaluru, Hyderabad and any other Indian cities... You have to give credit to previous govt. for this... Now we are nowhere compared to those cities, the blame has to be given to present govt., their cut money culture is the main reason for the downfall of the Bengal...

I don't know much about Hyd Metro, but B'lore metro work is also going on slowly for quite some time now. Technical challenges the East-West metro is facing in Kolkata makes the construction a far more complicated affair.
