Kolkata is growing now even after facuing many difficulties likely world war to partition or what ever. Surprisingly but true many western countries companies whose entry points are Mumbai and Banglore but setting up their empires in Kolkata recently RedoQ has moved their headquaters in Kolkata. Hyland, registered as India's headquaters in Kolkata. Applied Research Works India Pvt. Ltd.-COZEVA, India's HQ. PTS Consulting Services PVt Ltd, registered as India's HQ. KPMG global delievery centre, RedoQ has shifted their HQ from London to Kolkata. Also ITC infotech gonig to move their HQ from Benguluru to Kolkata. Just now need investment in semiconductor and max automobile manufacturing units to boost the economy of WB.

Before 2021 election, a proposal was floated to have a flyover exactly on the route you suggested. No idea..what happened to it.

Sealdah flyover is very old and the govt. is planning to repair the flyover but the work has not yet started. But I think this flyover should be rebuilt as a double-decker flyover with the top section as the part of a new Metro line from Kolkata Station to Science City via Shyambazar, Sealdah and Park Circus. One part of the Mahatma Gandhi section of this flyover should directly long connect with the Howrah Bridge for non disruptive movement of Howrah bound traffic.

আমি রাজ্য সরকার ও কেন্দ্রের সরকারের কাছে দাবী জানাই দক্ষিণেশ্বর মেট্রো স্টেশন থেকে লাইন সম্প্রসারণ করে বালী ষ্টেশন হয়ে সাঁতরাগাছি পর্যন্ত নিয়ে যেতে।তাতে দৈনিক প্যাসেঞ্জার বৃদ্ধি পাবে অন্তত কুড়ি হাজার।

Since 24th October, 1984 to 29th August, 2024 there are only 50 operational metro stations in Kolkata including 4 lines out of 6 lines. It has built up just 59.38 km metro network in 40 years. Since my childhood I have been observing Kolkata metro construction works to till now and its still under progress. SHAME ON KMRC, Kolkata Corporation, KMDA and West Bengal Government including CM Mamata Banerjee. I was born in Kolkata and I have been noticing the pathetic condition of Kolkata metro for last 30 years. Its so sluggish and moving like a sloth. No progress no development no world class infrastructure no rules and regulations no safety no peace and nothing left in this city. All political parties are corrupted. Everyone looted, destroyed, spoiled, and ruined Bengal. This is a dead city. Poor city. Dirty city. Hopeless city. Full of goons and thieves and beggars. Thats why I left my city almost 12 years ago. I feel ashamed to praise my city and my non Bengali and foreigner friends make fun of Kolkata, West Bengal and Bengalis. They laugh on Bengali words and jokes. My foreigner friends called Kolkata as a city of scampsters. I feel proud to be a Hindu and Indian but I dont feel proud to be a Bengali anymore. I’m sorry to my all Bengali brothers and sisters but this is the harsh truth. This city is not expanding from every direction. Kolkata is dead. West Bengal is the end.

Impossible to open it by March 2025, even the viaduct beyond Beleghata is not finished. The Nicco Park station is not even 50% complete, which will take another year and then trials and everything will push back the the section till Sector V to 2026
