Great pedal! I know BD101 has many functions but my question is if the BD101 can work as a normal delay pedal too?

It works only for short delays. The feedback introduces from 12 o'clock onward heavy self-oscillations.

+sp3ct3rs can go up to 2 seconds, but that will be quite crushed and distorted. Works great on drumtracks!

my sensors don't light up, i just bought it used. is this a bad sign?

Hey Fraser! We just see your question now, sorry for the little delay.. Does the sensor work though? Because it works with infra red light, you usually only see the actual LED's shine when you look though a camera lens or when you completely darken the room...
