I love how it's implied that, if Tadano had been awake, he would have picked up on the telepathic messages the girls were sending him about Komi not knowing what a crush feels like. I also love how, after they explained it to her, you can practically see her checking each requirement off like a list in her head. The "girl talk" scene is one of my favorite scenes in the whole show.

There are a lot of characters in the show and the cast is ever always expanding because of the 100 friends premise. If I'm being honest, a large portion of her "friends" often come off more as "fans" *cough* Yamai *cough* . So its nice when there are characters like Onemine and Otori, and now Katou and Saski, who are a bit more grounded and seem like actual genuine friends who see Komi more for who she really is rather than what they think she is.

I separate all characters in this show based on the question "does their gimmick let them be a functional human being?" If the answer is yes, they are let in the 'inner circle' of the main characters

15:11 Good that you figured out that Tadano’s personal name was Hitohito. Therefore the“H” stood for his name. But also, “H” sounds like “etchi,” which means “sex/pervy”… so the girls were making a dirty joke out of it (thinking it to themselves). 9:54 “Is it (Sasaki) a very common name?” Yes, Sasaki is the 13th most common surname with around 650,000 people with that name. Kato, btw, the other girl’s name, is the 10th most common, with around 867,000 people with that name. Also, it’s implied that she’s related to former Shogi pro master Kato Hifumi, a beloved, goofy old man. It’s interesting that most of the characters in Komi have made-up names like Yamai and Tadano, which are puns for their personalities, but these two girls have real world surnames.

The movie studios often have actors re-create scenes from their movies, to entertain the tourists visiting the sets and even sometimes let them join in.

The place where Komi dressed up in kimono was Komi-world's version of Toei Eiga-mura or Toei Kyoto Studio Park. It's basically an Edo-period-themed (Shogun era) movie set that has sort of become a theme park although it's still used as a set for TV shows, movies and commercials. One of the attractions are skits done by costumed employees such as a samurai brawl or ninja attack, and they rope in a member of the audience into their skit to make it more fun. I've been there several times, and it's a fun half-day to a full day. It's more fun if you've seen shows like Mito Komon that regularly filmed there because then you recognize all the sets used in the show.
