Man charged for pointing laser at Washington State Patrol airplane in flight

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Prosecutors charged a Federal Way man with a felony this week after he allegedly pointed a laser pointer at a Washington State Patrol (WSP) airplane as it was in flight earlier this month.
According to court filings, Bruce Murri, 62, was arrested on May 3 just before midnight after the flight crew of the WSP plane directed officers on the ground to an apartment complex on Pete Von Reichbauer Way South, which is under the approach and departure path of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

But people don't usually go off rail all of a sudden at 62 with no criminal history but it would make more sense if he were provoked. What if there's was a harassment program being done to outspoken civilians. Who are now being mobbed in traffic at the stores, as they shop and with noise harassment from above when they retreat to the safety of their homes. There is, it's called community policing or proactive policing. The program has been going for 3 plus years in Washington State I am one of their targets. This is the exact kind of thing targeted individuals have to handle daily. Being aggravated into a retaliatory and expected response. Ending in Incarceration or worse for the target. When it's daily for three years it tough to have the wherewithal to withstand it without being provoked. That might not be what's happening here but what I shared is legitimately happening to thousands of law-abiding civilians everyday nationwide none the less. Just thought I'd share.

Aiming a laser at an aircraft is a federal offense, with hefty fines and federal prison time. Aiming at police helicopters is an extra level of stupidity. Multiple offenses can triple fines and prison sentences. After that comes the lawsuits. Sone teenagers in a white Dodge van aimed lasers into my eyes as I walked across a 4 lane hwy. I tried to shield my eyes but had to see where I was walking. I had the walk sign. If I would of had a baseball bat I would have busted out their windshield. After I got across the street there was a 24 hr restsurant and a cop inside. He got on the radio to catch them. We used to live near an old (now closed) military base. Even though the site was shut down, there was always surveillance planes, drones flying around. Neighbors complained. It took three months, but it stopped. Then it started up again. Weird. But common. We have family living in South FL. At least once a week, there are Dade or Broward County Sheriff's choppers in the air. Sometimes they're looking for a person or a car, as they have those spotlights shining on the ground. I guess this is just part of our new normal.

Do they shine lasers in your windows from "up there"? You can "spy back" on the aircraft watching you. Just use a long lens on a camera, or use a pair of binoculars or even a field scope. Short of all-out war, though, there's no excuse fort blinding anyone with a laser.
