Hi Edward, how did you get such a loud and clear signal with the SM7B? Did you use any mic activator like Cloudlifter, SE Dynamite etc., or is it just going straight to the interfaces? What kind of XLR cable did you use?

I use a cloudlifter with my SM7B. The cables aren’t such a big deal, but the cloudlifter is a must 👌🏼

I have both of these audio interfaces and I’m using Cubase. With Scarlett Solo I can work in Cubase and at the same time listen KZbin. With Komplete Audio 1, that’s not possible, at least without ASIO plugins. Second thing is that Komplete Audio 1 occasionally produces strange short noise like old vinyl record, at least for me in Cubase. I was trying to change buffer size and some minor tweaks, but it didn’t change nothing regarding random noise/clicks. And the last thing, monitoring output on Scarlett is bit louder than on Komplete Audio 1.

Komplete audio VS scarlett big debate But I think the only reason native instruments is able to compete with scarlett solo is just the headphone volume control knob ... Otherwise if the 2i2 was the baby of focusrite, they wouldn't stand a chance

What gives you " air " switch? And why the Scarlett sounds muddy and dark has higher latency, on other hand NI sounded much cleaner, brighter and louder and has better latency. Focusrite isn´t the best anymore. Another think that can make a decision between these two is their headphones output level, how much impendance these can drive and what is their self noise. The problem is, NI is that lazy so they can´t put up it´s complete specs to their page to actually compare these two.

Tell you what I am afraid of purchasing anything right now because I keep having to send them back as they come broken. MOTU M2 both died on me in under 10 mins and had to be returned so now I am afraid of all devices and I hate USB-C as the cables are expensive and too short.
