Kona Rove DL Initial Impression

My first ride on the Kona Rove DL, with a shop build. This was also my first time on a gravel bike. This is my initial impression of the bike and some of the components. Relevant links are below.

Merci pour le conseil. Ca a du sens. J'ai échangé ces pédales de vélo de montagne contre un autre ensemble et elles fonctionnent beaucoup mieux. J'ai aussi commencé à utiliser mes chaussures automatiques.

Lets see, I have a 2021 Kona Rove NRB DL (I think) and it is a very nice bike even though it is aluminum and a 650B. Have a good ride.

It is a Salsa handlebar with a slight flair. I am not sure of the model,

I really like the bike. The steel frame take the edge off and makes it more comfortable for longer rides. I changed peddles and put on some Crank Brothers Double Shots and I use my road shoes now. This feels a lot better than it when I had flats and used my MTB shoes. The Trevail Rutland's are great on the dirt but they roll slow. I will go to something a little less aggressive once these wear out.

@@newenglandagingrider1738 I use vittoria terreno dry tires. 47s. They amaze me. They somehow hook up in everything from sand to wet rocks. Plus on tarmac I can run 18-22 on flat to rolling roads.

This was built by Bootlegger Bikes, in Jeffersonville. bootleggerbikes.com/ I think he may have just opened a shop in St. Albans this spring. Great place to do bike business.

how heavy is the frame?

I am not sure how much the frame weighs. My 54 cm bike weighs about 23 pounds with everything on it but the water bottle.

@@newenglandagingrider1738 How tall are you, if I may ask? I am 6 feet (183 cm) and on paper should fit on 56 cm, but I am strongly aiming at size 54 to purchase
