If anyone ever questions why such a strict, high-level audition process applies to 5-7yo's; show them this video. Despite being starry-eyed or overawed by the lights and crowd, they were still able to sing in unison, remember the choreography and sound like a choir (as opposed to a group of singers singing the same song) despite only having one 3hr rehearsal a week. This is the end result of having a standard of excellence to be part of the choir. Well done. Shout out as well to the Danish String Quartet (DSQ), Dreamers Circus members and the other accompanying musicians. This is why and the best accompanying group for the DR choirs. They have such an elite connection with the choir in terms of volume. Rune is masterful at ever-so-slightly dipping his volume at a complex riff if the choir are singing so the attention stays on them. The DSQ's pizzicato is so crisp as well that you know it's there, but you're not drawn to how sloppy it is and your attention remains on the choir. Bravo.
