KONE Hydraulic Glass Elevators @ Chicago O'Hare (ORD) Airport Terminal 3

These are some of the epic all-glass scenic elevators at Chicago O'Hare International Airport in Chicago IL. This video shows two out the four sets of glass elevators in Terminal 3. All serve the main two floors, but three go down to a parking tunnel and the other set with two-speed doors serve the skywalk leading to the transit train. Terminal 2 also has glass elevators like these.

doesn't look like Westinghouse, nor Schindler. These may be custom Montgomery KONE.

I believe these elevators were installed in early 2000’s. The ATS (Airport Transit System) opened in 1993.

That looks like a Westinghouse floor indicator.

first elevator is almost has an open top. glass is excellent for this elevator.

5,400 LB capacity is very rare indeed.
