Kone Polaris Lift Destination Dispatch System

In this video I show the Kone Polaris destination dispatch system for lifts. In newer locations this system is known simply as Kone Destination, however on this panel info screen, the name is still shown as Kone Polaris.
This system is useful for locations with many floors and multiple lifts. Passengers select their floor on an external screen and the system then allocates them a lift. This system ensures all users going to the same floor will be allocated the same lift which ensures that passengers do not have to stop at many floors on the way to their destination. This system maximises the efficiency of the set of lifts.
When using the Kone Polaris external panel, users first select their floor group and then individual floor within that group. Passengers can also select an additional menu which shows info, pin and group call. Pressing the button on the side of the panel will announce floors in an audio format for those who are unable to see the screen. Users press this button again to select their floor once it is announced by the audio system.
In this location, this Kone Polaris system is used in a building which has floors -2 to 56. I have many more lift videos coming up from this same building including non stop rides in the lifts and more lifts here which go as high as floor 70! Yeah I agree, these are very interesting and it is a clever system. I have wanted to see one myself for a really long time and so I was very happy when I got to see this one. I really hope you get to see one yourself soon!
