When addressing the King you should never use "him, you", it's usually things like "His Majesty", but the King is such a down to earth guy; he doesn't really care. It's one of the reasons I love him

We usually call him the old father or the oldling, but it is what it is

@@MannenFromNorth We do? I've never heard anyone call him any of those two things.

Harald and Sonja are lovely people. Perhaps my favorite European King. Greetings from the USA.

hello america would you like to be under norways king and queen ? i mean with trump elected we would gladly take over for him ofcourse you would still have your own government but you know you would be counted as norwegians and such (im litrally giving you an ultimatum verry similare to what hitler gave us before invading)

I've been up all night so perhaps it's just sleep deprivation, but I truly am not following what your point is, my friend. Can you restate this idea? You are saying something against Trump or against the idea of monarchy? Thanks and greetings from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA.

No worries, my friend. School can be rough, and I understand about Trump, even though I voted for him - I felt I had no other choice as Hillary just can not be trusted, in my opinion. Norway is a fantastic country and I hope to visit there - enjoy your pristine landscape and lovely people - you have fans in the USA. All the best, Laura

Answering 7 years later, still I know it means so much for us here in little Norway, that our friends in USA, show respect for our Royal family. Lots of love, and prayers, to you and yours.

King Harald and Queen Sonja care deeply about Norwegians and Norway. They are lovely people, Norwegians are rightly proud of them

As a Norwegian, I'm so grateful for the very respectful and polite (and a bit funny) questions for our King and Queen. Even if I reply 12 years later, I'm still thankful from the bottom of my heart, and that is not just words I write, but what I honestly feel. God bless Canada!

I have been to Southern Norway mid summer once. I wonder how brutal winters are out there. I imagine it’s pretty bad because New England blizzards are bad enough in the states.

Depends on where you go, south of Norway is not too bad, but there further north you go the colder it gets.
