I purchased a Konica T4 autoreflex after using Sony A7iii and Nikon d850. I sold all my expensive digital gear and only shoot with the Konica. I look forward buying film at the camera store. No longer miss expensive cameras.

They're fantastic. My favorite Konica. And using it more and more in the past 2 years, it's becoming a favorite overall. Shutter-priority, implemented this way, is hugely underrated. I suggest everyone try it. It's far easier and more flexible than you may think.

Just picked up one of these on a whim for cheap and it wound up working perfectly - must have been sitting in a box for years. This little thing really surprised me - it's (similar as you by the sound of it) really been quickly becoming a favorite. Lots of little details they got right. Such a silly thing, but I love the shutter release button that locks automatically when the advance lever is retracted. Love the position (at your left thumb) of the DoF preview button. Just a sweet little shooter.

Actually, Konica used shutter priority not aperture priority. In AE it uses F/2.8, F5.6 and F/11 based on the shutter speed.

I don't know what specific Konica camera you're referring to, but the T4 is *not* limited to only those aperture values (2.8, 5.6, 11) you've listed. It's true later Konica cameras (like Autoreflex and compacts) use shutter-priority form of AE, but all that I know of can set AE aperture value anywhere on the scale - it isn't even limited to full f/stops on the scale. You can demonstrate for yourself by watching the iris while changing light readings and firing the shutter. From the T4 manual itself: *"The aperture is continually variable, and therefore an intermediate point between readings on the aperture ring is usable."*

Actually, the sticker on the bottom says basically use the Varta V675PX Battery and be aware there are other batterys which have the same measures but other voltages, so you´ll get false exposures. Even tough the LR9 batterys work, they have too much voltage and give you a false exposure. Here www.buhla.de/Foto/eQuecksilber.html and here www.buhla.de/Foto/batt-adapt-US.pdf are very good articles about this problem...

The T4 is an awesome camera. Mine finally died and I need to replace it. Its not even good for parts. It has served me well. One thing though the standard batteries are PX625 which are mercury batteries and as far as I know are not made any more. The batteries that you have may not give you an accurate reading. The ban on mercury batteries may not be where you are. Greg Weber photography webercamera.com in the US repairs and sell Konica cameras and lenses. He may be able to do any repairs or cleaning you need and if you find the meters off he can modify the camera to take the 625 alkaline or silver batteries if you want to.

Hello, thanks for the feedback and the tips, that are 100% accurate. I am not counting or replacing the batteries, when these die, i will keep using my handheld meter like i do anyways. Cheers and thanks for watching.

do u use light meter to photograph a wide angle image?
@OzzoyLightCreations7 жыл бұрын
Rian Sucitra Hi. If i am using this camera i trust its light meter, it never failed me. Otherwise a handheld lightmeter is my prefered way.
