It’s a great camera. Great for experimenting with film and the best part is the surprise results it can sometimes offer -which makes it truly rewarding!

Interesting camera, I have the older Konica c35 Automatic. I have not tried it yet. Your video gives me some hope it might be ok. I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with another retro photographer.

Might want to go back a few years back to 1965 when Konica made the Konica Auto S2 superb lens old school made out of metal worth looking into, I had Bartered a friend from work .. the konica Auto S2 , it was one of the first companies in Japan that made the light sensor high-grade to last would need a battery can still buy a replacement for this camera , mine was a refurbished and it's in working order , I have the case the strap the Box and the instruction booklet made in 1965 the shutter is built right into the lens , very unique shutter and when you look through the viewfinder line up two images into one and you take the shot , back in the day they made awesome cameras and lenses then they went into business with Minolta

The Auto S2 has a truly superb lens, but definitely not as light and portable as the many later C35 variants. Honestly some of the best stuff I've shot came from the simple C35 EF, but I just love them all. I've long wished the Konica Minolta merger had leaned more Konica and less Minolta... and perhaps we'd have seen a native AR mount on current Sonys. :)

Concerning accidentally pressing the shutter button, my C35AF2 comes with a nice original plastic protector for button and lens 😉

What is the difference between Konica C35 AF and AF2? What improvements or upgrades had been made if you know and don’t mind telling me? 🎉

I bought one of these off the bay but I had to leave it outside for 6 months for the stink of cigarette smoke to disappear. Now it's finally allowed inside I'll replace the light seals and add it to the collection.

I have a c35af2 and unfortunately when i stored it i left the batteries in an one leaked , i have tried cleaning the terminals but cant get power to work on flash. Is it possible to use the camera ( without flash ) without batteries ?

I tried to shoot c35 with kodak Colourplus 200. However, the photos were gone during developing and scanning. Any tips on how do i play the ISO through c35? Should i turn it to 200? Really appreciate your guidance

These cameras are very underrated, a great choice when you want the film camera experience without the hard work. I got mine from ebay for fairly cheap but had to leave it outside for 3 months so the tobacco stink could finally leave !

Which is better konica c35 EF or the AF?
@therealchickentender5 жыл бұрын
They are incredibly similar - both with Hexanons, same focal length. For some reason I've always gotten better result out of my EF, possibly because you have a bit more control over focus distance with it.

Daniel Melzer Photography hey so I just got this camera up at Goodwill for 3.99 and when I open the battery compartment it was all corroded and I ended up cleaning it with vinegar and I waited till today to put in the new batteries and I put new batteries and I put the film you're using in your video but for some reason the film count is stuck on S and the film lever doesn't let me wind all The Way could just be because the battery corrosion messed up the camera
@DanielMelzerPhotography7 жыл бұрын
Maybe the batteries still don‘t touch the contacts. Hope you get it fixed

What's the battery for this camera?

A bit of a late answer, but it’s two AA batteries! Just got this camera loaded with some slide film that expired in ‘99. Curious what results I’ll get!
