I just did the Mediterranean10 day in May. Very good experience. Love the Lido Market. Servers with water, juices, and coffee were always available for us. One side of the buffet opens first. They do have a 10:30+/- PM buffet but mostly saw employees taking advantage of it. The burger place close early for us. Love the ship!

In general we find Holland America to be excellent. I gave them a very high rating in my Cruise Critic review for this ship and itinerary recently. They really are exceptional.

Mr. Harris, fellow Dallasite here (small world)! Thanks for the excellent video. I'll be sailing on the Koningsdam for the first time in a few weeks, and your video helped me get a sense of what to expect. It looks considerably nicer than other HAL ships I've been on.

I would like to defend the dining staff. They work hard with little support. I have never had an% issues. If your only complaint was that you didn’t get water, I’m thinking you are pretty lucky

You are welcome to record your own video and provide your own review. I am very simply describing our experience on this particular cruise. Your mileage may vary. I will ALWAYS record my experiences accurately based on what happened at the time. If you don't like it, that's too bad, but at is actual journalism. Facts. As the appeared at the time.

They DO work hard. But they are very poorly trained. Last fall on the Rotterdam in the MDR two servers argued incessantly with me for my refusal to order dessert at the same time as the appetizer and entree. And they brought ice cold bread and frozen butter. Plates that are obviously finished are not removed promptly. Lots more. As a 42 year successful restaurateur and consultant, I find the overall service to be amateurish. They try hard, they are pleasant, they put in very long hours, but clueless.

My bad
