0:50 - 1:30: Trout plays the same position as Mantle (who is better and easier to acquire), and there are just as good, or better cards at his secondary positions available on the market. Also Trout’s Live Series is pretty good on it’s own, especially with the consistent upgrades he’s going to get with IE throughout the rest of the year. AND, most people won’t even be able to complete this collection without spending money (not that you have to, but you might not be able to collect without it) for the ridiculous amount of stubs needed to complete this collection. Koogs, I like you but your bias in this scenario is extremely clear. This card as the major collection reward IS an L, there is pretty much no way it isn’t.

It’s not the fact that Mike Trout is an L, it’s just that us as a community expected more mainly because last year, the Honus Wagner was a brand new legend. Most people were under the assumption that it would be the same thing this year. The Trout card is awesome don’t get me wrong, it’s just not as hype as if it were a new legend like last year. Honestly though, there were so many speculations that it’d be shoeless joe Jackson and that would’ve been a huge L because dude wouldn’t have more than 30 power lol. It’s a W, just not what we expected as a community.

The biggest problem with trout is that he’s a centerfielder but not as good as mantle, I just got mantle last week going nms and although the grind isn’t that bad, I’m not super close to trout yet. With honus he was a different position than mays and was almost maxed out in every stat besides power. The appeal to trout isn’t the same knowing I have mantle
