Easy setup and a great purchase for simple summer fun.
Add a little less ice than instructed in order to avoid the shaver from binding up. Don't wait too long from the time you add the ice until you start the ice shaver, as this will also cause the shaver to bind up, as the ice melts and re-freezes to itself.

I saw one at WM today, but was leary about purchasing one. Your review sold me. Do you think this would work with standard paper cups?

@Hadoken81 Absolutely, just remove the cup holder piece and make sure the cup is directly pressed up to the machine!

I jist bought one a few days ago for the grandkids and not a thing happens when I plug it in and try to turn it on. I too tried different amounts of ice, but nothing seems to turn on. Maybe mine is defective. Gonna give it one more try and then return if I still can't get it to start up. Too bad! Looks like yours shaves the ice pretty well.

Is the ice melting too quickly? If the ice is melting, it will freeze to itself and jam also.

Bought one and it doesnt work at all. :/ sorely disappointed. We tried everything to get it to work, but to no avail. Tried different outlets, steadily took out ice to see if amount was the problems, etc. Just wasn't meant to be i guess.

Sometimes the thing doesn’t turn if it is not pushed down all the way. Try really pushing the button hard, to make it easier push it down more.
