Man I love this jam. I remember hearing this on 98.7 Kiss Chuck chillout show. He always played this toward the end of the show. I used to ask some of my fellow DJ friends about this record and none of them knew what I was talking about. Finally about 20 some years later I finally found this record on ebay. I just HAD to get it. Love it.

I remember when Chuck and Red used to play this. I was like "what is this song!" One of the first songs combining elements of hip hop, r&b and jazz.

I became a vinyl junky while I was stationed in Germany 1986-1991. The local record store would let you listen to the records before you buy. Huge marketing tactic! I spent mad cash there! The store manager knew me as a regular customer. I would go in asking about certain songs. I would usually just give him a title, or humm a verse or two, and he had it. This cut was different however! I first heard it in an underground club in Cologne/Bonn in 1987. It blew my mind! I went back and forth to that record store asking dude about this record. He was never able to order it for me? Finally, a couple years later I was dating a lady in Holland. She knew I had mad love for music. She said it was available there and she could get it for me. And that she did!
