He doesn't curse once, this has been one of my favorites for over twenty years
@TheLuvrat6 жыл бұрын
Voted KZbin's Most Popular I totally agree with you. There’s just something SPECIAL and CLASSY about when rappers do not curse or use the N word.Songs like this prove that there’s no need at all to even do it. You can clearly get your point across without doing it.This one of the downfalls of this BEAUTIFUL art form. But when done correctly like this it’s SUBLIME.

Big up to Large Professor on this track!!!💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
@fredicagoillanoise130910 ай бұрын
Large Professor layered the drums so tight until you thought it was one drum loop with a bunch of reverb on it until close to the end when he drops the top drum loop out to reveal a 2nd drum loop under it. Sounds like two drummers dueling getting busy.

G Rap officially became a legend to me when I first heard this track back in the days.
@TheLuvrat6 жыл бұрын
TEAM TRILOGY he was a legend way before this song. Symphony,It’s Demo,Road to Riches, Poison, Men at Work.Truly yours. But this definitely showcased him as true elite in the top 3. Especially as lots of people probably thought that without Marley Marl it would never be the same for him. This song (both version although this one has the slight edge for me, the horns are superb on the remix but the vocals fit better on this one) and Play it Kool are my 2 favourite songs from him.

Being from abroad, this was the first time I heard about Jenner, then in " Flava In Ya Ear" lol. Having no knowledge of vintage olympic stats back then, and at 17, always curious about all the world of then unknown references mc's used to create their rhymes, I actually thought he was referring to the dude that discovered penicillin, and I had actually thought he had mistaken the first name of the first famous Jenner, Edward, for Bruce. Always had a confusion about that. Then the Kardashians appeared, sadly, and it all became clear. Guess rap was CNN indeed.
