I love Kool and the Gang. They had so many hits in the late seventies and all through the eighties. I loved Get Down On It, Celebration, Hollywood Swinging, and more! JT Taylor (the lead singer) is very cute...I agree!!💖💖

These guys were absolutely awesome, "Cherish" is one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard. The video of the gang with their families on the beach on long island... You must check it out.

"Get Down On It" would be another, and many others. Shalamar is another group from this era definitely worth of checking out. "I Can Make You Feel Good", "A Night To Remember" for example.

The lead singer is JT Taylor who joined Kool And The Gang in 1979 when they became more of a Pop/Soul group than the heavy Funk they did in the early to mid '70s. The guys dancing with JT are the horn players who has been with them for years. Great early '70s Funk songs to hear are "Open Sesame" (1976) "Jungle Boogie"(1973) "Funky Stuff"(1973) then great Pop/Soul songs in the '80s are "Stone Love"(1986) "Steppin' Out"(1981) and "Too Hot"(1979)

Thanks for listening to Kool and The Gang. I have their LPs on Cassette including their Greatest Hits. Musicians comment what a tight unit this Band has as The Guitarist, Drummer and Bass Player Kick the Beat - not step on it. The Bass Player is Awesome and goes into Overdrive. I like "Celebration; Ladys Night, To Hot, Stepping out, Cherish, Misled, Get down on it, Fresh & Joanna," When Prince died I heard "Joanna" on the radio, then, I used to skip this tune but heard Princes influence - it's Flawless! Yes, Fresh is equally Flawless, Great Band, Awesome Musicians and Dig the Bass Player. He is Amazing and Awesome. Thanks Angela. take care and stay Cool.

Good song JT Taylor does the vocals, but back in the early to mid 1970's, they had great tunes as well 2 of my faves are Jungle Boogie, which was featured in that hilarious movie Love Stinks from 1997, and Summer Madness, which is an instrumental that came out in 1974! I think you'll dig them!

Summer Madness was featured in Rocky - the first scene when he's alone in his apartment feeding his turtles. It wasn't included on the soundtrack, but there was an instrumental piece by composer Bill Conti called "Reflections" that had elements suspiciously similar to Summer Madness.
