If you compare that to todays pop charts, it's always some dreary auto tune rapper or a person with a flat whiney voice that's also been auto tuned. Of course there's great music today, but we as a society have regressed and thus it's always bullsh4t that ends up mainstream.

Most of the shit you hear on the radio or in the mainstream circuit is either autotuned, sampled shit from the 60s-90s and early 2000s, or repetitive, raunchy crap that all starts to blend in and sound the same after a few playbacks. Nothing is all that original anymore save for a handful of artists you hear on the radio or the artists that put their shit out on Spotify and Soundcloud... There are a good handful of new, underrated underground/international artists that make better music today (imo) but to me it doesn't compare to the music that was being made from the 70s and onward to the early 2000s.
