“Why do K-pop boy love being tied up” had me WHEEZING😂 no but seriously, first wooyoung, then yeosang, now Seonghwa and hongjoong😭 Also, the gps tracker is also in the lyrics, “if you want to put a tracker, put it on a suitcase and not a carnaval” carnaval is a Kia. I think in 2021(?) a fan put a tracker on the car they were in, while they were on the way to the airport (i think). So basically they called out weird stalker fans.

Some background for the lyrics that non fans probably won't understand: Matz refers to Hongjoong and Seonghwa as the oldest member (98 born) in Korean Matz itself meaning 'oldest'. When they say crazy and noisy is a reference to what people say that Ateez performances and their music are. Seonghwa's line "But yes, oh my doctor said There's a lot of room left to grow" comes from the endoscopy wanteez episode. The Dr told Hwa that he has a large stomach but it also means that they are still hungry even with 5 years in and with all there accomplishments and they wanna grow more. Hongjoong's line "If you want to put a GPS, put it on a suitcase, not on a carnival, You can be busy too" is a references too 2021 where they found GPS trackers on their Kia Carvial. After that line Hongjoong raps how they need to get a life or they can put GPS rather in their luggage cause they are always travelling around the world so it's useless to put them on their cars. You can see this in the beginning of the MV when someone puts a tracker on the van which is a Kia Carnival. Hongjoong's line about "Numbers without sources don't mean a thing to me at all" this about a couple of months ago there were sasaeng "stalker" selling their personal information on line. So there phone numbers and even there flight info. Thanks I hope u enjoyed it.

Every single time I watch this I’m like I did not prepare for him to be having that voice and that visual like I knew what cap was going to do he’s my bias and he’s the captain so I knew he was going to wreck me but I was not mentally ready for the sound Seonghwa’s voice it feels personal

I literally bias half the group and am wrecked by the other half. WooSan are my top biases (because they come as a set you can't bias just one), followed by MATZ. As long as you love them all it doesn't matter what your hierarchy of affection is. Honestly with any KPop group I end up loving, I find that things are less stressful if I just accept the polybias life. I rarely have only one bias in a group lol

I think ATEEZ lend themselves to polybiases! My fist bias is Seonghwa, who is bias wrecked by HongJong and Jongho, who are further bias wrecked by San and Yunho. :)

We love a song where our favs talk their shit!! I also love the inclusions of subtle burns to actual events (the GPS under the car being one). If there's one thing about ATEEZ, they know how to tell a story through their art. I'm really looking forward to the Youth MV although I'm worried it'll make me cry 🥲 Also, I've been so looking forward to your Patreon! Like yes please, let me support you and your content! This entire song is a diss track to Sasaengs (Crazy Stalker Fans who follow the boys everywhere and had put trackers on their car and so much privacy invading crap) and I think a diss track to the industry as well, but overall, amazing song and amazing music videos. Also it's okay to be OT8. It's too hard picking a bias 😅

I love how they’re tied up with little clocks on chains, symbolizing how time constrains how much they can do as a boy group and with their inevitable military services. Yeah, they’re busy but they’re choosing to go as hard as they can because there’s only so much time! ❤ (love your reactions!)

Yaaass that’s one of the themes of the song lyrics too - MATZ are bullied (•lovingly) by the 99z offstage, but onstage, they are indeed the epic Captain/Pirate King and First Mate of the good ship ATEEZ for good reason~ They are truly epic performers and it’s no coincidence that MATZ are two-thirds of the infamous “Demon Line” of Ateez (search the term if you’re not familiar with it!). Of all the epic and powerful people in Ateez, atiny unanimously agree that it ain’t the explosive Mingi or ominous Jongho who’s the king of the Demon Like, but our own fierce, little captain who does, indeed, loom up onstage like the infernal overlord that he is inside!

Hi Laurel! I'm watching your videos a little late, but I soon remembered why I like you so much! You know, ATEEZ has been everything to me in the last few years and I'm not even North American, but I make a point of watching your videos because you're so funny, so friendly, your pronunciation is so clear that I almost don't need subtitles , I'm simply in love with you and ATEEZ hahahaha Thank you for being here and existing too. You know, Hongjoong and Seonghwa are my favorite members, MATZ is as meaningful to them as it is to me. It was very difficult to choose a bias for me too, but these two grew in my heart. Maybe it will help you decide on one if you try to get to know their personalities more, because loving everyone is inevitable. This song delivers a heavy shade for sasaengs. And about Hongjoong, you're absolutely right! He's not even that small, the others are very tall, but even so, the presence he has is unbelievable! You need to see one of their shows, no matter who your bias is, Hongjoong will catch you. And an interesting fact: Seonghwa auditioned to be a rapper, but ended up becoming a vocalist. MATZ was the second opportunity he had to be a rapper, he's good at everything, right? Honestly, I think the units have no connection to the lore. I believe they just conveyed what they wanted to convey.
