Too bad there's no MV for VAY, but they added key moments MV-like at the end of ITZY Album recording with Changbin after their studio session with him. SKZ and ITZY trained together and like real brothers and sisters so this is precious. I hope they'll have a live performance.

The "Imaginary friend" song and mv makes me so emotional, knowing what Lia went through and having anxiety myself is very touching the image at the last frame where they cover her eyes as in like "we'll protect you". Also the lyric "when there's monsters on your ceiling i'll keep you safe" alwasy brings a tear to my eyes

Same. I was going to say, don't even worry at all about getting emotional over that song. EVERYBODY who is a REAL MIDZY felt that one in our souls. The combo of Lia being back and everybody wanting to support her the entire time she was gone, plus the sound of the song, plus the lyrics...I would have cried just hearing it, let alone seeing what the MV did for it. Really powerful. :)

I have heard this song probably close to a hundred times now. It makes me emotional every time and brings tears to my eyes. I can't explain it, but I agree that the lyric about monsters on your ceiling just gut punches me.

They are probably the nicest down to earth idols in the industry. They genuinely seem to care for each other and are very attentive to their fans. They're easy to like because they are decent people. And they're amazing performers especially live in concert

imaginary friend really impacted me, i have stanned itzy since their debut. Itzy has helped me through so many difficult times, with their music, energy and self love message. To me the Itzy members really are my imaginary friend. ( dw i sobbed too when i heared it)

the VAY mv was actually a compilation of the individual concept teasers for the Gold album!! I hope you can check out more of itzy's music, judging from this you will love ALL of it so much. their older stuff might surprise you a lot, their music in their first two years of debut all went INSANELY viral.

ITZY is such a fantastic group! I had the pleasure of seeing them live this past summer (as four) and it was incredible! They're amazing performers and are literally some of the coolest girlies in the industry. I'm so happy you reacted to these and that you're enjoying them! Great video as always! Regarding the Imaginary Friend m/v interpretation, it's kinda showing the idols struggles & what they face on a daily basis: being hurt by haters through online comments; being always in the spotlight, every gesture they make or word they say being under scrutiny; not being able to have a private life or privacy whatsoever. The m/v, in that regard, is full of metaphors: being chased by spotlights; walking in circles, on predetermined lanes; touched or followed by shadows; walking on a tight rope; the wounds & scars they display; the frames, the mirrors, there are so many, many images with such a deep meaning behind them. And, by starting with Lia, the choreo & the closing image, also with Lia's eyes covered by her fellow Itzy members, in my opinion, it's them showing their support for her (almost like a protective gesture), considering the problems she faced (for those who don't know, she was forced to take a 1 y hiatus, due to severe anxiety, caused by the struggles she faced being an idol, being hurt by repeated remarks, by the so called "fans", aka keyboard warriors, being a victim, for several years, of online bullying)... it can also be about the good and bad of parasocial relationships fans have with idols.

Thank you so much for your reaction, two very unique title tracks and Changbin! lol Imaginary Friend definitely hits when you dont expect it, for me hearing Lia sing "When there's monsters on your ceiling, I'll keep you safe and I'll keep you dreaming" considering her hiatus did it the first time, and every subsequent time after that. Regarding Alice in Wonderland, they quite literally have a song named "Cheshire" which I feel you might enjoy, and Ringo(not alice related) too(i'll stop before I recommend their full discography lol) Thanks again!

yess itzy!!!! i love them so much ❤❤ fun fact: not only are chaeryoung and changbin long time friends, so are hyunjin and yeji (they are known as the hwang twins cuz they share the surname and are both from 2000) and ryujin and chan!! also i feel i should mention that (at least in gold) the subs arent really translations of the korean lyrics, but more like lyrics to an english version. they roughly match the vibe but theyre more made to fit into the vocal melody edit: WAIT VAY HAS AN MV????? SINCE WHEN??? well... guess im watching it with you laurel 🥰

For real, They just don't care about ITZY anymore because they not one of trending girl groups from the 4th Gen right now. Same thing that is happening with EVERGLOW despite having a comeback since June with Zombie. And now people are saying both group flops especially ITZY who is more popular than EVERGLOW. And now since EVERGLOW's comeback with Zombie was not successful. I'm sure their agency is gonna focus with YENA again. And i think it's starting already since YENA had a comeback 1 or 2 months ago.

Well, I guess you should say you stan them now 😂 Welcome in, new Midzy ! 💛 'Gold' is such a bop, it brings back to the whole Dalla Dalla era and it's perfect. They've received a lot of negative comments for this, and I just can't understand why.. For 'Imaginary Friend', every time I listen to it my body become a single goosebump. The song is top tier and the MV only sublime that (and you should look at the perfomance video, the entire choreo elevate it another step up) For 'VAY' I just want to clarify that this is not an official MV, it's fan made and the ITZY part of the video is actually the 'Album Concept Trailer' (I don't know about the Changbin's parts though). Ot5 Lia is back woo I love how they ate Gold but they devoured imaginary friends and left no crumbs. I just personally like the meaning beat of imaginary friends but both songs are definitely Itzy. I'm so happy I followed you from Yuqi Freak reaction definitely worth the follow ❤ I find it really hard to be like yea Ryujin is my bias then out of nowhere Yuna Yeji Lia and Chaeyoung just come in a kill it. one thing i'm not sure if anybody has mentioned yet is that jype has this thing where they use the lyrics of english versions as opposed to the translations of the korean versions for the subtitles, so sometimes the nuance doesn't come through as well!!

As a long time Midzy, I certainly loved to see Lia back for this comeback. Itzy did amazing without her, I got to see them on their tour, but Lia's voice adds to much to the group. Certainly check out more of their older songs to see and hear this. Blonde Chaeryeong is incredible, I didn't thought I could like her even more than I did and yet! As for Imaginary Friend, everyone seems to have their take on it but I saw it exactly the same as you, it's Itzy talking to Midzy and reassuring them that they will always be there. And I wouldn't say it's just the PMS, it's a song that really hit you in the feels for some reason, there's few songs that can achieve that for me but this is one of them.

itzy went full force after lia hiatus 10 month, it is not generic music i have ever heard but i like it right after listening repeatedly. i'd like to listening non-mainstream song, it's so unique to put the element of the song and fuse it between hip hop and rock. and this song makes me goosebumps so bad :((

No apologies needed. This song hit me like a brick too. I think people were not expecting this after GOLD and took us off guard. If you check out their latest album, you'll find that they redid the unstoppable and other songs from the last album with Lia in it which is SO cool. I'm a fan. OT5. They try to comeback with a different song and concept which sometimes people will have a love it or hate it vibe.

1:08 Ok you got a follow from me just for this, Lia is also my BIRTHDAY TWIN and now SO ARE WE!!! July 21st babies FTW ❤❤5:23 YES crop it and then turn the bottom part that you cut off into a mini skirt!! I don't know how crafty you are but it would be super easy to make a lining for the skirt so it wasn't totally see through! I also crochet so I know how to work with knits as all, make sure to sew a line around where you want the bottom of the crop top to be and the another separate line around where you want the waist of the skirt to be and then cut it in-between those two sewed lines you made, otherwise the stitching is going to come loose.

Next up is TWICE! Another sister group to Stray Kids and ITZY! Debuted in 2015 with 9 members! I recommend I Can't Stop Me (song is about crossing over the red line in a relationship), Likey (song is abot social media pressures), and One Spark(song is about them being together for 9 years now and they will always burn bright)! Their next comeback is on December 6 with the title track Strategy feat. Megan Thee Stallion! Also, they were just the first kpop act to have a show at Amazon Music live about a week ago (they slayed)! And they were the first kpop girl group to have a stadium tour, selling out MetLife and Sofi stadiums in the US (capacity of 50,000 people)! One more thing, Chaeryeong was on the survival show that formed TWICE called SIXTEEN with her sister Chaeyeon! So, if you want to see all of the TWICE members a whole lot younger + Chaeryeong at age 14, watch SIXTEEN!
