OMG the cosplay is so perfect!! Red Velvet will always not only make banger songs but incredible MVs! The creativity is always 10/10 and they own the horror girlie concept! I'm such a baby when it comes to horror but when Midsommar came out, everyone was talking about it so I researched the story and I really adore the narrative! K-Pop group concepts are often well thought out but there has never been a group like Red Velvet, their concept is consistently dark yet bright, the reason they are one of the biggest K-Pop groups of all time is because their artistry is completely unique and untouched, they also have Wendy and Joy, two very strong singers who's vocal tones are so iconic and instrumental to the group any K-Pop fan would be able recognise them straight away, Seulgi who is a super stable singer, Irene who's voice has so much charm and Yeri who's voice has a child like energy, I've never known another K-Pop group with members who mix so well but still bring their own style... Red Velvet is unique

The movie was really disturbing and scary which is good, it's horror 😂 (I mostly skipped the gore, I'M WATCHING DURING MIDNIGHT WHILE WORKING) It's a really good movie and RV making an inspiration from it was phenomenal. as another person who fell in love with Ari Aster from Hereditary, Midsommar is one of those films i can remember minute for minute even having not seen it in a year. thats how much the film stuck with me. Ari's ability to portray grief, loss, betrayal, a dying relationship AND being unknowingly initiated into a cult was absolutely a cinematic masterpiece. The last scene of Dani the may queen just looking absolutely dead inside hit so hard. Got what she wanted, to be seen. but at what cost?

This is so good, everything I wanted and more! I love midsommar so much and they were the perfect group for this! Also I wanna share my theory for this mv (very rough). Basically in the trailer we got before this we see all the girls in some perfect reality where they collect all things from their previous mvs, they all burn themselves in different patterns (I’ll explain later). Somehow they are then in this dark room with only a doorway lighting the members, suddenly a shadow blocks this light in the doorway and then a green light flashes, teleporting the girls. The cosmic MV starts with them falling out the sky, so I guess they were teleported in the air. And suelgi uses the flag to find the other members, I also think the burn marks were used to tell they were together. Then ensues the mv where they kill the may queen, finishing their task. So it seems red velvet has been reporting to some higher power who is sending them to kill these people in their mvs. I have many theories as to what for but there’s definitely something important about the sun and moon (it seems liked sacrificing the may queen summoned? The sun?). Also something about dreams in their lore, the lyrics mention exploring dreams and the chill kill trailer was all about going through dreams/nightmares. There’s also lots of bits of lore to do with the movie in this that I would have to really take some time to understand! But I’m very excited for where the lore goes! Why are they being sent to kill people? Who’s giving them these orders? Maybe they have to kill 5 people to set their own souls free?

I think red velvet literally are just going into peoples dreams and for some reason terrorizing them😭, in chill kill trailer there’s a poster that says “have u seen these girls in ur dreams” so it’s clear this is something they’ve been doing, not sure if all mvs are dreams tho. This also connects red velvet with nct dream as they also have something going on with dreams so the lore is just getting more complicated as I try to understand!

i have a few connections and theories: Seulgi was the previous May Queen and is the main person helping to find the current May Queen (who fell from the sky) and her actions showed how she was the previous May Queen: - shes the only one who is dancing solo in the sun/forest - she alerted the cult when the girl fell from the sky - she ran after the girl when she tried to escape and RV helped her - shes the only one shown to wear the May Queen crown that is breathing - she got dragged away afterwards by the cult to make way for the new May Queen and the rest of RV + cult danced with the current May Queen (the girl) in the circle. (even though in the official dance sequence its still Seulgi, but in the story sequence it's the current May Queen) a few connections i noticed: - the white room resembles the yellow temple, as the sun comes down through the ceiling and makes the whole room orange, it mirrors the ending where the temples catches on fire - a nod to Ari Aster/Hereditary: zooming out of the same white room where it is surrounded by black background and stars, it gives an illusion that the room is in the void/solar system/cosmic, which is something Ari Aster did in Hereditary - picking of the flowers to create the flower crowns

Typical SM to delay something of Red Velvet's and NOT talk about it until AFTER the time for the drop has come and gone and they start getting complaints. They SUCK at giving any sort of heads-up at all. It's VERY clear to see that SM hates Red Velvet (or maybe just does not give a flying fuck about these ladies). The First of August will be RV's 10th anniversary but the company can't be bothered to get this right. You can find that SM has CONSISTENTLY screwed RV like this many times but you will NEVER see problems like this with ANY of their boy groups.

Typical disgruntled so-called "fan" infesting all available reactions with their imagined facts about how much their company hates their own group. The song and album is a massive flex. Not as massive as "Chill Kill" but don't compare full albums to eps. If they truly HATED RV, they would have consistently delayed their salaries, not ever let them venture outside the company (like if they didn't let Seulgi perform her own songs or "Dumb dumb" at Bam Bams concert. Which they could. They own the songs), if they had completely skipped this release and their anniversary or if they had EVER given them an extremely meh release or just a copy of old stuff like Blackpink gets. I have nothing against Blackpink, and their talents as a group are obvious, but they are clearly held back by recycled or copied materials from their (very limited) discography. And I feel bad for those girls. But to say a company who releases the truly massive flex of an album "Chill Kill" was, and now this within a year, is NOT the actions of a company that hates their group. And exactly what difference would it make to announce the (negligent at best) delay ahead of time, on the set release or after the fact? You would either be whining that they delayed at all (which, of course, can ONLY be bc they hate RV), that they waited till release time to announce it (same "reason") or bc they wanted to "let a few complaints come in". Jesus tits, I'm not saying RV is in any danger of going anywhere, but if they were, I bet it would be more bc of "fans" spending waaay to much time and comment space hating on their company that supporting the group and liking their releases, if they actually do like it 🤔

Okay I might be wrong but in the movie some character find out that Simon was hanging with his skin being wide open to the inside. His eyes were covered with two yellow flowers, its not covered the cult literally put the flower into his eyes. The one who found him was realized that Simon was still breathing and he was dying. So I assume when the girl fall into the trap she was on the verge of dying i mean its clearly only white background with 5 members and the member was smiling but there Joy was feeling gulity bcs of that. And the next scene is you can she that girl shadow falling to the glass and turning into the star/sun.
