2:50 Grab that bastard with both hands and yank up on it. The steel tangs will bend and distort, but you can realign them with needle nose pliers and cram it back in when reinstalling. Crappar (paccar) owner here too... I like the engine, hate the wiring and exhaust.

I’m doing this job myself on a 14 Peterbilt 579. Can you link to the scanner you used or a similar one that I can plug in and clear codes? I have the road relay unit and it pulls codes but doesn’t clear them. I was told the code would clear itself most likely after 3 successful starts. Not sure that’s true though
@KoonTrucking4 жыл бұрын
The best on the market and affordable is this one otrperformance.com/?ref=claykoon It will clear codes and force a regen and get you off the road vs having to pay a tow bill. I also did a video on it, kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWKTm32PmsqNa5I if you want to check it out. Super simple device. 1 towing bill saved will pay for the unit!

Koon Trucking Just plugged in that OTR reset/regen tool and let it do its thing. Thank you so much for recommending this. That 3226 code so far was a false positive so I’ll wait for the code to come back to confirm before I change out the outlet NOx sensor. Just finished a 45 min, 1000 degree forced regen and it says to do that once every few weeks. This thing is so worth the price! Thanks a ton!

Can you do a video on replacing PACCAR mx13 heater HVAC coolant fitting
@ianm4326 жыл бұрын
If you don't have an o2 socket you can bash the end of the sensor off with a hammer and use a regular socket or box end wrench on the sensor. Another trick is to heat the welded bung in the exhaust on one side only.

We take all our trucks to either Southern Tire or Summit in Tupelo MS that’s the best places I know of for alignments. We usually put new tires on at our shop and take them straight there and have it done

Honestly w a paccar engine you are much better off to purchase the DAVEY system the Snap On ProLink is a great tool but they are still behind in the Paccar game. There a bunch we have to use the davey On because prolink can’t and won’t do what we need
@shanerasmussen62076 жыл бұрын
@@KoonTrucking seems DAVEY is expensive..Or is that someone trying to over sell me something
@KoonTrucking6 жыл бұрын
Shane Rasmussen no you can buy the DAVEY with laptop cheaper than the ProLink and just Paccar software. I can promise you. I have them both I know and you can do MUCH more with Davey. Snap On ProLink is great for different engines etc all on one platform but at the end of the day if you just own a paccar then hands down 100% go with DAVEY !
