Koots, i know you mean well with cats, but i just wanted to share what i would do if my cat (if i had one) gave birth, i actually wouldn't touch the babies at all. I would wait until their eyes open to start petting them and stuff. I don't wanna scare them by picking them up when they can't even see me. I'd rather just let their mommy take care of them til then. Not saying that's what you should've done, it's what i would've done.

Saving the life of one animal may not change the world but the world will surely change the life of that one animal. All I'm saying dude is that there are millions of unwanted animals that need the love and care we can and rightfully should give them. When I watched this I had just gotten back from picking up my new foster dog who had escaped from it's home and was about to be killed without a chance by the pound. So I was mad at the world a bit.

You can't really count on color to tell you that. I know one completely black cat that came from parents without a single hair of black on them. Especially since fur color traits can "skip" a generation. But you are right, the dad is Shepard. Koots told us that on twatter.

My families two cats had a kitten today (first time, only one), and quite frankly I'm still in shock because not once have I ever seen and been around a newborn animal so It's a really interesting experience. I'm looking forward to it (cause I have no idea what gender it is XD) growing up.

Not exactly true. Think of it as a pack of wolves, kootra has spent enough time with Tali that she knows his scent as a pack-member, and most members of the pack constantly care for and play with the babies. Especially since Tali grew up with kootra, she trusts him greatly, as it's him that renews her food and water sources. So, it's almost impossible that Tali would neglect their kittens, however if some other human Tali doesn't trust gets their scent on the kittens, neglect is possible.
