11/8 rhythm may be hard to follow and play for Western drummers, but it is in the blood of Balkan people. Excellent work, sir.

Off the scale perfection - I've just discovered this great drummer and he is one of the best in the world - and I'm guessing very unknown in the western world. Thanks KZbin :)

Unfortunately when someone is from a small country like Bulgaria it's hard to be world famous. Stoyan can be compared to the best in the world. Actually the best in the world can be happy if someone compare them to Stoyan.

Ivo Papasov brought me here, googling on the song title. I was not disappointed. Amazing drumming.

I've been a big fan of Bulgarian music for decades. Stoyan is one of the best, but to be fair, most east European percussion players can blow away most western players who only use simple time signatures. I've been lucky to see the great Salif Ali in Ivo Papasov's band several times.

Salif Ali is such a master of the art. He is one of my favorite drummers.

Stojane, to je prekrasna glazba. Talentirani ste muž, majstor sa bubnama, osim toga vrlo sympatičan, skroman. .Ali hubav i atraktivan. Želim puno uspecha.

Nice, but it seems to me that it's not a real Kopanitsa rhythm. When I try to match it to the qqsqq or 2-2-3-2-2 , a rhythm that I beat and dance to all the time (Balkan dancer and percussionist), it feels if that synthesizer doesn't quite have it. I'm not ready to say that the 3 becomes a 4...maybe a 3.5? Anyway, it's just a bit off. Still enjoyable, thanks.

don't say it's not what it is just because you can't count :)
@tr3ndkiller6 жыл бұрын
If you can't match it, it's because you're not counting it correctly. It might be too fast for what you're normally used to.
