Thanks. For me the enthusiasm comes the more I do it. And it is something that doesn't last long if I stop fishing. Maybe sounds strange but I recognize how people describe the dedication of going to the gym 😆

great video, it would be really good to see a drone footage if possible or a distance shot to see how you cast to learn from how you fish with 2 relatively big flies! Thank you for taking us out there the sound of the water is soothing!

Nice video! I like that fly and use it 95% of the time, not only in winter! I make them in 3 sizes and weighted (black head) and unweighted (brown head). Weighted or not depends on the water depth and wave height! If it is difficult, I prefer 2 small ones instead of 1 bigger one!But when you start using the Kopparbassen is it not better to say Tei and catch!

Try a slower retrieve and experiment with the dubbing color. Make something unique. I like to make them more fluorescent and less flashy :)

Hi Robert, loving your videos really helping with cabin fever during lockdown in Ireland. Just wondering with regards to your set up your using a 7weigh vision stifu rod but an 8 weight line on the reel. Wondering how that works for you and do u recommend going a line heavier for sea trout. Keep the videos coming dude🤘

Hello Robert. Love watching your videos.Awesome fishing and videos. Question about Gammarus Are they not naturally Grey in colour. Is copper your best colour,what about Olive or Grey.
@FlyFishingbyRobert2 жыл бұрын
Hello. Copper is the most classic color for tying gammarus patterns but they can be in many different colors. Many are sand colored, brown or even red.

What's the highest water temperatures you find for fishing now and what would be the lowest you would fish during mid-winter? Surprised the fish still stay in turbulent waters this time of the year, but Gotland is probably different than mainland coast a bit northwards, I guess. Good video as always!
@FlyFishingbyRobert3 жыл бұрын
I measured 7 degrees water the other day. But that is quite extreme for it was a warm and strong wind. I fish as long as there is open water. A few weeks ago I fished in a bay that was colder than I thought it would be. I lost one sea trout in 1,5 degree water. The day after the bay was frozen 😂 So they can still be active in very cold water here but thats probably thanks to that the water ain't so salt here.

Hi Robert Where can I buy orange/copper Kopparbassen. Is it ice dub? Can you suggest perhaps a Danish shop that sells it. Thanks
@jesperisager-sally36033 жыл бұрын
Great again! And if i´m not all wrong - a danish pattern created by Frank Jensen!? The salinity around Gotland is not very high. How much do you think about that when picking your spots around the island? How about weighting or not weighting you dropper fly - any experience of that?

Fantastic. What country is this? Where is Gotland? I’m assuming this is saltwater? Sea-run Browns? In the US, it’s rare but there are sea-run brook and of course steelhead, but I’m not sure there are many opportunities for sea-run brown trout.
