Korantemaa is the moniker of 21-year-old Swedish vocalist and musician Johanna Karlsson. After amassing an audience with her KZbin channel as a teenager - including her viral cover of Alt-J’s ‘Breezeblocks’ - her focus began to shift towards original compositions. Now, as she graduates the bounds of her home village, Korantemaa reveals a world of her own imagination; songs inspired by dreams, panic attacks, feelings of disconnection and control, her debut EP ‘a place of substance’ underlined he massive talent.
