My Korat cat is 10 years old she is loving, caring, possessive and only trusted me. If my mom will feed her she won’t eat at all! I picked the same bowl and put it back then she will eat the food! 😂 She is very curious and follows me everywhere including the bathroom and shower. She checks on me in case I drown. She is vocal and quiet sometimes. If I’m going out for work she will be meowing trying to find me under boxes and behind the doors. I saw on my camera how she was searching for me ❤ When I go back home she is there happily greeting me as you know I live rent-free she owns the apartment and everything in there 😂

I also saved a Korat when he was just a little kitten, I’ve had him 8 years never knew what breed he was, until now looking at this video, I mean the first picture looks like it was literally just taken of him. He is the most loving, kind, sweet, cuddly, intelligent cat I’ve ever owned in my life, Mercury is his name, I’m so in love with him and this breed ☺️

My boy is half Russian blue half korat! They must be genetically tested for a neuro paralysis disease! They aren't bred with other breeds cuz they are considered gods so worldwide they are rare! My boy looks just like a korat!his sister looked like a blue! They love to jump climb! Ore was the first to have korats in 1959 in the us! Korats like disabled people if not grabby! My boy talks a lot! He was abused for the first 5weeks of life I got him at 6weeks old! I'm allergic but don't think he's hyperallergenic! I got him for free! I wasn't expecting him! He kept an intruder out the first night I got him even though dying of flea anemia! Thanx for mentioning vaccine sensitivity I didn't know this!

I just adopted a Korat from the Humane Society. I didn't know what I was getting myself into but I love her so much! She's an amazing cat very vocal and extremely inquisitive.

We just adopted one from our Humane Society and I totally agree. She is supposed to be 5 yrs old, but acts more like a kitten. She follows us all around. We also didn't know what we were getting ourselves into, but she is SO sweet, you can't help but love her. I'm hoping she will get along with my two older cate (12 and 14), when we introduce them. We've had our Korat for a week and a half now.

@@deedeegentry8835 yeah they're pretty adaptable to other cats...but they are toy hogs so have a good variety and lots of toys to go around!! They are like the dogs of cat society..🙂take care!💜

I have a little korat called Lolette! Wasn't a huge cat person until she elected me as her favourite human and singlehandedly converted me to being a cat fanatic... And she knows how to make herself understood. When she wants to come in the house, she'll walk up to my family and meows at them, but only comes in if she sees me. She knows they will call me to get her lol She also has meows for different things she wants, including one for "carry me to my food please." Which I indulge...

I have a beautiful rescue korat. she was found in the engine of some guy's trunk as a kitten, and we got her the same day my first cat got hit by a car. She is the shyest cat I know but I think I'm her favorite lol. She got a white spot on her neck. I'm slightly allergic to cats but can cuddle with her with no issues. I love my Gracey

Ive been trying to figure out what my kitten is and i think its half korat. I have a ragdoll and she escaped and got pregnant with half tuxedo kittens and half all grey kittens none look like ragdolls at all and i kept the korat looking one out of the liter and shes very curious and hates being a alone she fits the pysical description and personality

I used to dislike cats. One day my sister brings home a beautiful grey korat kitten. He turned my dislike for cats into full on love. He was the most affectionate best friend to have. I tragically lost him on 04/11/2023. I’ll love you forever Beans.

I actually believe that Russian blue cats are originated from Korat cat because King Chulalongkorn of Siam was a good friend to czar Nicholas I of Russia and their royal families had close friendships. Both cats have short hairs which are unlikely belonging to a cold country. Moreover the Russian blues became world-widely known just lately after czar Nicholas I's reign.

My cat fits this description to a T, he has bonded specifically with me, too. He is very loud, and can be heard from 2 blocks away. He is a rescue, so he is kind of wild. Is there any way that he is mostly Korat even when he is a rescue? I live in the Northwestern United States.

Yes, I have one from a shelter too, and lucky enough to know the background. The people she originally owned couldn't deal with her demanding nature. I was familiar, and recognized the traits just hearing and then they brought her home, and she is a GEM. When we go to the grocery, she KNOWS there are donuts somewhere and she wants a few nibbles NOW. I know they shouldn't have donuts. She'll drive ya crazy if she don't. And destroy the kitchen looking for the box. I'm sure you know her other quirks, among them wanting a bath in the tub but ONLY if she's in the mood. She doesn't like being outside, plays dead when I try the harness, but looks outside frequently. We buy more curtains than most people.

This is an old comment, but my korat also has those spots in those exact places, as well as a triangle shape on the lower belly. They are considered "defects" of the breed in terms of cat shows but from what I gathered it's rather common for korats to have them, meaning that you won't necessarily see them in official pictures of korat on the internet even if many do have them.
