I love the Ronnie Rig. However, I really don't think it is realistic for the average carp angler to be able to shift swims that often, even when they know it would be a good idea! It would be like 'musical pegs' if everyone started shifting and I know it wouldn't go down well with other anglers on the lakes I fish! Make your judgement and fish the swim you pick - the odd move is fine, but the luxury in the above video is a rarity!

@timsaunders89896 жыл бұрын
That is a really good point. Many anglers have to fish day ticket waters, which are totally different from syndicate or 'untouched' type waters. The carp will behave totally different. On a lot of day ticket waters I have fished the fish will either move around from swim to swim in a group or just sit in the middle. Modern day ticket fishing is often very different from 'traditional' carp fishing.

Can someone tell me why so many people use their bobbins so low to the floor? surely the point of them is to have them higher up so that the height on a drop back gives sufficient alarm warning for you? Is it a "look" thing or is there something im missing?

He was probs fishing semi-slack lines... maybe with bobbins that are a little too heavy for the job. Doesn't make a world of difference. He'd still know about it if he got a drop back.
