What a legend name for Hee Jin. They called her as "The Nemesis Of Brazilian Passing Units". She indeed play so well on this match. With Lavarini's trust Hee Jin could unlock all her skill. Glad to finally see this up here. KYK has led the team really well and the team members are playing better than ever. It saddens me that there were some unfortunate concern/issues that led to taking some players out (hence we didn’t see them in Tokyo2020) when they appear to be playing rather well here. Still, I am glad to see KYK, KHJ, KSJ, YHJ, playing here. I am going to miss KYK, KSJ, YHJ in Korea’s national team for volleyball, KYK most of all. P.S. Funny how the commentator backpedaled on his comment re: KYK being upset and such. 😅😂 Sometimes it helps not to speak too soon. 😉

Just rewatched this after some time, because I missed seeing KYK10 play. One cannot help but admire how good Lee Jaeyong (17) has become, her jumping power is insane. It is such a shame she and her twin sister got banned because of that bullying scandal. They are sorely missed in the team, it's just not the same without the three of them, 10/17/19.

The announcer stating fact at 2:06:27 “It was real team effort as well but there definitely a few standout players, but in terms of MVP if it wouldn’t be Kim Yeonkoung it probably be Lee Jaeyeong and even Lee Dayeong”. Each player played a big roles for this win but KYK and the twins really standout the most. For KYK there’s nothing to say about her skills everyone know it, but the twins also really had done a great job.

For the Brazilian team, Korea's most dangerous players are KYK and Lee jae yeong...they are always the target of the serve...this is to reduce attacks starting from the two...luckily Lee jae yeong is the best receiver also KYK...Sometimes it's sad to see this...just because of stupid netizens' comments...the careers of two people are ruined

It's obvious that Brazil underestimated the Koreans. Brazil's reception,passing and floor defense here was so poor and terrible. Meanwhile, it's because of strong services of Korea that prevents Brazil from making a good play. Korea did a great job overall thanks to their good setter, and Lee Jae Young who's very smart on tooling the blockers of Brazil , and their teamwork unlike Brazil that heavily relies on Lorrene.

Excellent match. Both teams korea and Brazil matches point to point. Both protray excellent team spirit and attacking power play with good floor defense. Only 3 teams in Asia can challenge Brazil women volley, they are Korea, China and Japan. Good match for Korea. Play to your strength.

Lee Dayeong is really good at blocking. She scored at least 1-2 block point almost in every matches. Her jump height is almost as high as the center, YHJ and KSJ whom both are above 190cm. Here she had the most block point for team Korea with 2 block (should be 3 but was canceled due to YHJ touchnet). Kim Yeon Koung, Kim Hee Jin, Kim Suji and Yang Hyojin had 1 block point each.

ik KYK is a legend but i feel like the twins didnt get the appreciate that they deserved. despite their scandal which i didnt going to backup, u hv to admit they really a talented player. lee dayeong doing a brilliant job being a setter like she know to toss to whom n control the ball while jaeyeong also play brilliantly, like she know when to spike or feint n she’s a good receiver. she actually contribute most point after kyk. she doing very great job as a spiker even as blocker. for me beside KYK, the one that carried the whole team this far was also the twins plus KYK as a pillar of the team. they will going more far with this line up. such a shame half of line up will not play for this team anymore

They played so well here especially since the burden wasn't all on KYK's shoulders. It really upsets me that the twins weren't able to play in the Olympics when they could have shown and achieved so much more. They're still young so I'm really hoping they could play for the Korean National Team once more.

The commentator also comment about this at 1:36:58 “One things that Lavarini brought to this team one things that the teams developing that no reliance on the captain KYK all the times . LDY has been using her sister well has been using KHJ well in the middle involve and then going to KYK, but not all the times not making it one dimensional volleyball as it used to be with korean sides” I fully agree with him, LDY really did a good job in distributing the ball this is a team competition the coach shouldn’t rely on one person to scored. Lavarini was really a great coach. I’m really impressed with how everyone played especially the twins. LJY already joined the national team for years, but LDY was newbie during this times in NT and she played so well under Lavarini guidance. Lavarini choose her as main setter among all the other setters and trained her so well. A great coach really played a big part in team development

Imagine if this was the Korean team that played in Tokyo 2020, MAYBE Korea could have won their opening match and the semi-finals.. Yeum Hye-seon was pretty much just high-setting the ball outside and have no real speed and strategy compared to Lee Da Yeong. I was also wondering why Kang Sohwi wasn't in the VNL 2021 or Olympic roster.. How the volleyball world would miss Kim Yeon Koung :(

kang sohwi is injured during Tokyo olympics,same like Kim Heejin, but Lavareni still he included Kim Heejin in final list, as there is no opposite spiker that can be stable as Kim Heejin he tried Park Jeong ah during VNL but still lacking and shaky, even Kim Yeon koung says that nobody can replace Kim Heejin in her position in national team, thats why even Kim Heejin still not totally recovered from her injury he still depend on Kim Heejin,. but still good they climb up until quarter finals.,beating up strong teams. 😍

@@seokyucho8831 He had to depend on KHJ since many core players like Twins, Kang sohwi, libero kim haeran cannot played during the olympic. Lavarini already had to change the team strategy for the olympic due to no twins involvement where he used double sub tactic so that there's always 3 attackers in front row, and setter always in back row. He didn't use this tactic when Dayeong was setter though, since she's a good blocker in front row and has good attack instincts too (definitely does more frequently/successful than other setters). So subbing out KHJ cannot be an option since KHJ always been in his main player list from the start. Imagine how stressful it was for lavarini during that times where he can’t even used the team that he build and trained for year for the olympic. Just watch korea vnl match last year his expression during that times. I’m glad that korea got 4th place in Olympic, the team and coach already faced to much for their olympic journey. For sure the result can be better if lavarini can proceed with his original lineup he had trained but with the circumstances happen getting 4th place was already an amazing achievement for the korean team

Korea should bring back the lee twins in national team for time being if they want to strengthn the teams. I know what they did were unacceptable crime but we can’t deny their ability. Besides both’re still young. Most of senior korea player are quite old in age for an athlete and their all time ace kyk already retired from national team

Apparently, the team would have considered getting them back if they at least tried to apologize to victims, but they didn't. They were also in the same team with KYK in Korean Volleyball League and they were the main culprits of ruining the vibe. For example, when they had a drama with KYK, the setter (Dayoung Lee) constantly gave low quality balls to KYK which could result in serious injuries while giving good sets to her sister Jaeyoung Lee. Other junior teammates were also their victims. Too bad the twins were a pain in the ass but as a Korean, I don't miss them at all tbh. Being young should not be an excuse. It will be a huge shame for us to win the medal with someone not doing the bare minimum in terms of morality. Korean national team will always find alternative ways and I will always root for them even if they show lower performances than expected. After all, sports is not just about getting good results.

@@sienna8443 Okay respect each other opinion. Besides i will wait for the twins legal lawsuit result. Yes they had done bullied which happen 10 years ago but what if out of all the claims made by victim some were false? Why should the twins just accepted all the accusation that people accused them if some were wrong so defamation lawsuit against their accuser was absolutely necessary to prove them. At first the victim requested an apology letter and for the twins to applogize in person, which twins planned to do but then refused to meet afterwards and even made further claims against them. If the victim really want to Twins get permanent expulsion then it's not about "forgiveness" but took revenge. How do you solve the problem amicably when you can't even meet? The korean media really riding on the twins popularity to sell their their news. Comparing to controversial athletes from other sports who have committed worse sins, news for them cannot be compared to the twins. Many of the media who make money off news of the twins, do not have proper coverage of the story and simply garner clicks through accusations. Media really play big part from the start since the ldy-kyk issues until now.

​@@AFbMR89 No offense, just added my opinion since it was about Korean athletes. I agree on some point that Korean media took advantage of twins, making a lot of clickbait articles. But somehow, I feel it's a secondary offense to blame the actions of victims. I mean seriously, would you like to see the perpetrator in person who threatened your life with a knife? Twins gave them physical and mental trauma in young, adolescent age and it can last forever. This is NOT A PROBLEM TO SOLVE, and they're dealing with compensation of lifelong PTSD. Please note that victims need immense courage to face the perpetrators. Why would victims refuse the meeting with the twins? Cuz it's too painful or the twins might have done something intolerable (offended them or done something irresponsible) while reaching out to victims. There were other male and female players with bullying accusations. Those who are active in K-volleyball league managed to compromise with the victims or came clean within 3 months. Even guilty players admitted their faults and showed sincere regrets and apologized quickly as possible. Besides, victims were more than 5. Like it's not easy to make that many archenemies in 25 years unless you did something real wrong. Way more serious than you think. Is it possible that a group of people can actually sue somebody, faking that they're bullied just because of jealousy and hate? I think not. Sorry, you took the blame to the media and victims. Yet, the meadia and lawsuits cannot fake who the real perpetrator is. There's much less possibility that tables are turned as you wished for. Just face it. I understand you want to protect your favs, but it's too obvious that they committed something similar to crime. It's better for you (and the twins in the long run) to wish them to get back to their senses and admit their fault so that they can save their career in Korea.

@@sienna8443 What do you suggest is a reasonable penalty for bullying in middle school when the perpetrator was underage? Whatever they committed should have been punished back then as students like suspension from school or not being allowed to play for the school team.
If the victims words are true, I think the adults in charge like the coach should be made to take responsibility for not reporting this to the school and showing favouritism to players. If it was true that a knife was held to the victim's neck while being threatened, their parents should have reported it to the police, and have a police/hospital record of it + DY punished by law. The school should also have kept a discipline record of this on the student's record. What we hear from DY is that she had kneeled and apologized to the entire team & teammate back then and resolved it with her, and twins had switched schools in middle school too. According to knetz, the only way back is if they receive the forgiveness of their victims. I agree to only a certain extent, but because while the victim isn't obliged to grant forgiveness at all, I don't think it means that they have full rights to decide whether or not the perpetrator can move on with their lives. Even criminals have deadlines to their prison. It doesn't change that what DY did in the past was wrong, but, what about JY who didn't do anything? Victims originally said they will forgive if twins posted an apology publicly and apologized to them in person. But after the twins posted their apology publicly, the victims refused to meet with them in person and instead posted even more accusations after. Twins only started lawsuit in April because they originally wanted to apologize and settle with the victim outside but was unable to do so. The victims even showed during their interview all the apologies that the twins texted them and asking them to meet. (In contrast, a male player accused of bullying - not just bullying, but literal physical violence where injuries sent the victim to the hospital for surgery- was able to meet with their victim, apologized, settled, and was allowed to return). If the twins are lying, then I don't understand why they would admit to the knife incident, which is the most severe. They gave valid reasons to the other claims too, i.e. "stealing money" was instead a team punishment they all agreed to and faced, to give 500krw (50 cents) when they didn't practice seriously. Cancel culture is bs, to lose one's entire livelihood forever because of mistakes one made back in elementary/middle school? (not even in high school or as adults, nor properly investigated/confirmed at this point in time) No one is saying they did no wrong or should be forgiven immediately. They're already facing their punishment of suspension from the local league & National Team. They hadn't ignored it, but acknowledged, apologized and took responsibility for their mistakes. This issue blew up because it involved 2 most famous volleyball player in korea. KYK herself said in an interview after that there's a conflict but it was due to misunderstandings, and it was resolved but KYK fans constantly hating all the things LDY did. Even during match b4 she always the one whom getting hate no matter how bad other performance was. Anyway I think the KGC black sheep team conflict was way worse than KYK-LDY issue but ofc no one even cared about that. There was also 2 more female vball players accused of school bullying after but no one paid attention to those as well and no media coverage about it. One simply denied the claims and it just passed like that although the accuser insist that it was true. Besides i don’t want ldy to come back to vleague anymore, she has a bigger advantage in foreign leagues with her position as a setter at her height. It always my wish for her to play abroad she didn’t improved much in korea. Her potential is too high to waste it on the restrained volleyball they force her to play in Korea and setter roles never being appreciated in korea. For future i just hope she will be accepted in better league meet good coach like lavarini and she will be great again. She improved a lot during her nt days with just only few times training w lavarini. Maybe for LJY if she can be accepted back in vleague it will be better for her since she had knees problem and need better care besides Korea’s environment will suit her much better as well, both for her knee, as a spiker of her height, as a person and since she didn’t played major roles w all this controversional issue.
