I find it surprising that Koreans eat more seafood than the Japanese because that's the thing Japan is known for since the country is a small island with not a lot of land required for industrial farming. I'd be inclined to think SK has better grilled meat, but Japan wins in the seafood department.

You realize south korea is more like an island too right? The north boarder is permanently closed and its at the bottom of a peninsula. Korea also has a higher suicide rate and lowest birth rate in the world but japan is known for those.

I would choose Japan, after being influenced with the culture for so long. On the other hand, I like the entertainment activities from South Korea, especially KPOP.

I agree but both k-pop and kdrama are influenced by j-pop and Japanese drama too especially the famous F4. Overall not disrespecting Korea but Korean culture is both a mix of Chinese and Japanese culture ✌️

Did David deleted his comment? I got notification but when I came here I don't see any reply so David if you're seeing this answer me this Tokyo tower-lotte tower Cherry blossom, gangsters movies, tattoos, transparent ☔, colorful ☔, sushi and that Korean version, sorry to say but there's nothing original about Korea. And yes in the south Asian continent India is the influencer our neighbouring countries speak Indian languages or languages that are family to Indian languages

@@indiangum4691lol kpop and kdramas were hardly influenced by jpop and jdramas. Kpop was influenced by American pop way more to the point where any bit of jpop influence is just negligible. A few jdramas were remade into kdramas back in the day but that's it. They're so different from each other so you're really trying to stretch the truth. Towers, gangster movies, and tattoos aren't even Japanese. Ramen, tonkatsu, city pop, and seifuku are all derived from other cultures.
@indiangum4691
@indiangum4691 Жыл бұрын
@@nosaynose777 It's just pop music but when the Japanese wave started it was known as j-pop and later came k-pop. Also the hair, looks or even the fan base it's closer and more similar to j-pop not American pop. Comeon now don't tell me lameum is a copy of American noodles and not ramen lmao
@indiangum4691
@indiangum4691 Жыл бұрын
@@nosaynose777 show me a traditional Korean tattoos lol no such thing. But there are Japanese, Chinese and Thai tattoos. Korean tattoos are a downgrade version of Japanese tattoo btw why do koreans wanna be a**licker of westerners(Americans in particular) like trying to discredit China by calling the Chinese New year as Lunar new year but in Thailand, india, middle east or anywhere it is known as Chinese New year. Besides some south Asian cultures have lunar celebration

I'm Korean but I would pick Japan. Except for the economic reasons, I would pick Japan for sure. Although Japan has lower wage for the youth but I think everything in Japan is generally better than Korea since it has longer period of being a developed country❤🎌

11:14 did he really ask which country is “better”, or is it a mistranslation? Just wondering considering the animosity between the two nations. I could really tell the girl was tip toeing to give a PC answer, while the Korean (Zainichi?) was pandering to his target clientele.

I absolutely love Japanese food, but I've always wanted to try Korean food. I've been to Japan 2 times already and now I'm going to move to Tokyo for 3 months for language immersion, but Korea has always been an interesting subject for me. I love their writing system lol. What's the main difference in their tastes? I always hear that Japanese food is "more simple" which might be true. They love classic style, don't they? hahah

Long time ago in the 20th century, a little over 10 people from South Korea came to the company I used to work for training over two years. I felt only that their pride is absurdly high. I had contact with them only while I was at the company, and I had never shared private time with them, so I didn't get to know their true feelings nor true thoughts. I've never eaten any Korean food because I hate not only kimuchi but almost of pickles excpt pickled plum and pickled ginger. And Korean food doesn't look delicious for me.

QoL in Korea is far better than Japan for sure in many aspects such as government work flow, response, payment system, cheaper transportation, English conversation friendly, etc. But economic reason or cultural reason, many would choose Japan too.
