Killing Verse is a really cool format because artists pick what they consider to be their best verses and then put them together in a 1 take live performance. It's a great way to discover rappers for the first time because it lets you hear parts of a bunch of their songs!

I love JUSTHIS so much! He was supposed to be touring in North America this month with another Korean rapper (Don Malik) and I bought tickets to see him on March 11th!! Unfortunately, the tour had to be postponed because of issues with the visas and the company. Almost had a chance to see him live!!!

Also, you know that XG is from japan right. They did absorb a lot of kpop ways of doing stuff, but they still come from japanese company. And actually their company is pretty known doing that style. So yeah just an fyi, not everything that sounds like kpop comes from korea. But the thing about xg is probably bcs they come from big company they still feel too much being lead on by another artists, I hope one day we can also hear their own sounds. Japanese music industry is really really big, they're also really diverse in sounds but somehow hip-hop there was always just popular underground. Even some of the biggest j-rapper probably never appear on tv, even when they actually really famous. Thats probably why xg trying to promote internationally, their genre is not that mainstream now. Recently tho, there are a few rapper that ocassionally appear on tv and most of them are female, you can check out Awich or Chanmina (she's also half korean, so she makes a lot of korean stuff).

Justhis is really that good. Korean rappers are so competitive, skill wise.. they're crazy, and yeah pretty sure justhis is at the top ones now. If you listen to kpop, koreans have a lot discussions about idol rapper and underground rappers, but since you have seen justhis, I think you will understand why korean rappers have so much pride to them. I mean, in the end its music, you can like whatever you want, but there are different depth we talking about. Since most kpop songs are written by songwriters, they're just making money I guess. thank you for the reaction btw, you really need to react more to k-hiphop

4:12 the XG girls are actually Japanese! They're a "global-pop" group but they're under a Japanese company and all the members are Japanese or mixed with Japanese. They do have promotions in Korea and a lot of the members can speak Korean on top of Japanese and English.
