what's crazy about bang chan's rapper position is that he didn't even go to a school/course for rap unlike changbin and han so obviously his role is mostly producer&vocalist in the group but he's still so much better than many idol rappers in the industry, always creating catchy flows. he's really insane, mad respect

Um, BangChan is incredibly talented, but he had the same rap, dance and vocal training at JYP as the others. He actually trained for longer. ALL of 3Racha rap, sing, dance, compose, and write. TOGETHER they are the production unit for Stray Kids. And it's not crazy that he's a rapper in a rap group he put together.

Tiger JK is considered the grandfather of Korean rap while his wife Yoon Mirae (Queen T/Tasha) is the grandmother of Korean rap. Queen T is blasian and they brought the culture there in a time when people didn't embrace Hip Hop as widely as today. Edited: New fans of k-entertainment may not know these things though because Yoon Mirae to them is the legendary OST singer for kdramas but she's actually a whole lot of other things. Queen things. Them both and a rapper called Bizzy are in a trio called MFBTY under their own record label Feel Ghood Music. ^^ I love how Chan referenced Tiger Jk! That was awesome. Yes, I also wanted to mention something about Changbin. Just today I watched the reaction of Korean Americans (itsANDYandJAS) to the new mashup of MAXIDENT album. They were analyzing Changbin's flow in an excerpt from 'Give me your TMI', and Andy noted that Changbin pronounces words so well while rapping fast that they understand literally everything he says. He's really that good!

Hi Teddy, Christopher Bangchan is the leader and oldest of Stray Kids. He is the one that hand picked the members. Changbin is actually the 3rd oldest and plays a big role in the group and many say the backbone to the group so I can see why you would think he is older. 3rachca is a collaborative producing unit so there is no leader title but Banchan does have more influence with composing and arranging (CB amd Han ofc are starting to arrange for the first time with Heyday). If you also look up Heyday credits they are listed in all aspect of producing. Btw love your reactions!

That incredible moment when Changbin has that instant of silence, that little gap, in his flow--that's a form of syncopation. I loooove well done syncopation, that is one of the reasons why I love Stray Kids. It adds this element of surprise, then anticipation and excitement--"I don't know what's coming next rhtymically, is it going to be a more predictable, regular accent or an off-accent, now I'm really paying attention!" and every time you listen to the song again, you are waiting for those moments and trying to see if you got them right, and just savoring them. Those little surprises are just delicious. Stray Kids, and Changbin and Han in particular, also give that surprise element with ad libs, brief changes in vocal pitch during the flow (Changbin's Mirror Mirror feature is full of those, and Han's Venom rap with the gun at his head has a lot) they use changes in vocal tone or color (Felix is great for that, he's got at least three different types of "gravelly voice" , the smooth, resonant deep one, and an airy tone as well, and Seungmin, Changbin and IN have their own very unique and different tones as well, which 3Racha uses so well in production). They also use unexpected sample sounds (car honks, elephant trumpets in Circus, bells, bird tweets, drills.....) and autotune...... Stray Kids is one of the best at playing with those elements, and they are so exceptionally playful rhythmically. Playful rhythm just gives me joy. What is soooooo great about good syncopation is that the regular underlying speed and beat are not affected, the main framework of the rhythm remains, so as a listener or a dancer you are still feeling safe, you aren't lost or confused. If it's a standard 4/4 rhythm, "ONE two Three four", that pulse remains the same, even if the singer or instruments are going "___ two Three four" or "one-AND-two Three four" or "one TWO three four" or however they are playing with it, that basic pulse remains underneath it all, and when syncopation is done well (and Changbin does it exceptionally well), they come back solidly on the regular rhythm exactly on that pulse. I'm not a musician, but I've dabbled in singing and can pick out a tune on a piano, and I've danced socially (ie, dancing with partners for fun) for decades. My experience is that syncopation is really hard to do well--the one time I was actually working with a vocal teacher (not working with good teachers is one reason I never went further than just dabbling with the music) told me I did a lot better with syncopation than most students, and I still never really got it. It's just tricky to make yourself hit those off-beats against the force of the standard pulse, which keeps sucking you back. And if you are not aware enough of the basic pulse to be sucked in by it, then you can't actually do syncopation, because good syncopation requires very accurate placement of the accents, it is not at all just random beats wherever. It's not sloppy, it is really precise, that is why it is so delicious. My understanding and explanation of syncopation is probably not perfectly accurate. If anyone reading this has a more accurate or more detailed (or simpler and better) explanation, or just wants to add to or correct this, I'd love a reply. Like I said, it's one of my favorite things and something that delights me every time I hear it in music.

The beat is different comparing to what 3racha does usually, probably because it's for a TV show, so there is more producers on it . All the work combines , is so good though. Amazing track of course.

3racha is insane! Definitely the best idol (and just in general) rappers/producers and its not even close...I personally love the different blends in the song! having a BINTRO you automatically know is gonna be a certified banger! Bangchan's verse was so good and GENIUS he really created such a difficult/different flow like HE JUST DIFFERENT!!! And then GOD HAN JISUNG switching up the flow *3 TIMES* is insaneee...not 1 not 2 but 3 TIMES! the lazy rap is hard to do but he pulled it off effortlessly 😵‍💫
