Since everything in South Korea is based on trends and commercial stuff - there is no way this country will ever produce enough decent metal to compete with other countries from the East (and we are not even talking about the West). Go Japan and shame on South Korea for being such a market/mass consumption based trendy culture where even underground scene is composed of K-pop xD

Oh trust me it can dude, if not better... Way more bands in Korea, but they're so buried by the pop scene its kinda sad. I say Crash is pretty much the only ones, that I know of for sure, to have made it to playing big shows now and people are taking notice of them. I know there is another Thrash band, well actually a Crossover Thrash band that actually has a pretty rad sound. Gama Bomb like vocals and with a hint of Municipal Waste style...
