Hi! I was wondering if I could get your opinion! I have studied at Yonsei for an exchange before and really loved everything about it (the beauty of the campus, buildings, the location in sinchon, events etc etc!) but I am thinking of applying for my masters in Korea Uni because they have a programme better suited for what i want to do that yonsei does not have. However, my heart tells me to go to Yonsei because of all the reasons above and of course because of nostalgia and all the amazing friends I have there... What do you think of Korea University? do you think it's as good as yonsei in terms of locations, events etc and will I like it as much or will I regret not going to yonsei? As someone coming from the US is it easy to make friends in Korea, how are the classes, the environment etc. Is it good to know some Korean before you go? Hi there Bob! So I didn’t actually study at Korea Uni, I just went to visit it. ^^ I am currently studying at Sogang uni, also in Seoul. Studying abroad in general is not without its challenges but it’s also fun and eye-opening so I can’t recommend it enough, no matter which country one goes to! About it making friends in Korea, you won’t have any problem finding other expat friends (loads of Americans here by the way) but making Korean friends can be tricky, even more so if you aren’t fluent in Korean and don’t know much about Korean culture. Yes definitely learn as much korean as possible before to go. You can survive without it but knowing the basics at least will make a huge difference in experience once you are living here. About the university jacket, I have a video explaining the process very soon because I got one recently. So please look forward to it ^^ I hope this helps!

Generally speaking you need to have high intermediate level of Korean to study in any Korean uni (Topik 3-4 or above) because there will be classes in English but mostly in Korean in most programs. From the feedback I heard, even some courses that are supposed to be taught in English but have Korean teacher ends up using English texbooks but speak Korean during the lectures...

Hello fellow army 😉💜 yes you can study medicine at yonsei! But as far as I know (please double check on this on their website) they only teach medicine in korean. Do you speak korean?
